The car drives very well and has no overheating issues. No warning lights showing.

Remote central locking

Original radio/cass in good working order

Cons

  • Odd marks around the car. Scratch on bumper.
  • The rear wheel archs have been filled and spayed when I first got it so will need a longer term repair one day.
  • One of the rear doors does not work on the central locking
  • Alloy wheels???

This is a fully running car I took to BMC day Perterborough last year. I have the V5C in my name. I have owned it nearly 2 years.

A lovely car that looks and feels like a 37,000 mile car, in my favourite colour Nightfire Met.

Shiters price £500

Collect from Buckingham. I can meet you from train or bus at Milton Keynes, Banbury, Aylesbury etc

Getting that Metro Urge

3 years or more ago I have wanted a Metro and started looking to buy one, aiming for a 1275cc A series. I was really looking for an up and running car with MOT that I could improve. One of my favorite was a project 1.3S in Lime green but I was outbid. As time went on I realized that they had gone beyond my budget and I wanted a bit more performance than a 998cc so widened my search to include Metro 1.4 K series cars. My desire had cooled a little as I had been searching for so long.

Then a member of this parish offered a K series with HGF. That took longer to fix than expected so I parked that up. (full story on request)

I still had the Metro desire and wanted a MG/Turbo/S 1275cc but the prices had risen too much and I did not fancy telling Mrs 6C how I had spent a fortune on a Metro! So I settled for a 36k 114 SLi 5 door and a great car. Next I was offered some Metro brochures for the price of the postage and gladly accepted them, they included a MK1 MG Metro brochure which I had left lying around. Mrs 6C found it and proclaimed she loved MK1 MG models and could we not get one! She asked what was for sale now and I found two project cars and she instructed me to buy one!

The MG Metro is now on the road so I have to part with my 114 SLi.

In what universe do you have to exist to think those three spokes are a con?

They're chuffing brilliant!

In old git world! Remember I make Victor Meldrew look like a broad minded cheerful character!

I agree the original plastic trims are rubbish but original Rover alloys look so much better.
