MG ZR+ Trophy yellow, ready to use, MOT 4-3-18, £468.87

Six-cylinder

Recommended Posts

This weekend there have been 3 cars that I wanted to buy, but I have really reached my limit so if I want a new car, I need to sell a car.

I have enjoyed this MG ZR+ 1.4 16v 105 bhp 3 door, but if somebody would like it I would sell it.

115,000 miles

MOT 4th March 2018

Electric windows and remote central locking

It is fitted with a radio with jack for my ipod that sounds good. It has large speakers in the rear self but not connected.

  • Since I have had it, I have had it serviced with new CV boot, wiper blades and MOTed by my local garage.
  • Fitted a new heater resistor so it works on all speeds.
  • Removed the locking wheel nuts because of lost key and replaced them, now with key.
  • Replaced the boot lock as there was no key and replaced the driver”s door handle and lock as it was broken.

The car drives very well and has no overheating issues. I was told it a head gasket two owners ago but I have no proof. No warning lights showing.

Cons

Odd rust spot on wheel arch and door. Scratch touched in on bumper.

No key for passenger door (works with remote or from inside)

Interior grab handle trims missing

Clock does not work

Drivers seat backrest sometimes doesn’t release for entry to back seat

This is a fully running car that I would consider fit to drive anywhere and I have been into London with it. I have the V5C in my name.

It owes me £468.87 and I would like to get that back.

Collect from Buckingham. I can meet you from train or bus at Milton Keynes, Banbury, Aylesbury etc

That's attractive, and the price is even more attractive

I don't want to give the impression that it is perfect as there are various marks around the body, odd rust spots, touched in scratches, the drivers sill cover seems a fraction off colour and the outside weather strip on the drivers door is lifting a bit. It does drive great and the last owner had it maintained by his friend a coach mechanic and did the brakes etc. My garage remarked it was a very well maintained car.

(speeling)

I should probably change it, I don't even know how it's pronounced if I meet a shiter at a car show.

Yes, it is probably going to be available again shortly, I fell out of love with it pretty quickly!  Nothing against the seller whatsoever, I've just realised it's really not my cup of tea, it's too shouty for me, plus a rather distressing repair bill for the van has somewhat forced my hand.  It is a shame, it's finally allowed me to have a 1.4 K-series that works properly and it seems to have zero mechanical issues.

It's been out on loan to a friend (who absolutely adores it) since a few days after it got me home, his wife was making noises about buying it but I don't think it'll happen.  I'm intending to sort out a few cosmetic issues, mainly the interior trim bits that need replacing, tidy up the paintwork a bit if I can, then it will be going.  Probably in the next 3 weeks.
