Baz
Baz made us do that with his legendary non R20 ! It exists!....Somewhere....I think....I hope! :?I've seen a recent photo of the bonnet!
MrRegieRitmo
I've seen a recent photo of the bonnet! Hope it hasn't become detached! Baz, I've just caught on that your avatar might be your R11, if not that then I don't know as I've spent ages looking at it wondering what it might be! Sorry, I'm a bit slow. Baz, I've just caught on that your avatar might be your R11, if not that then I don't know as I've spent ages looking at it wondering what it might be! Sorry, I'm a bit slow. The bonnet was sitting in a spraybooth looking all shiny and new, with it's fresh new coat of paint! Avatar is indeed my R11....I expect I'll use something similar for the R20 (or whatever I eventually get ) as I quite like it....Unless I can work out how to get one of those professional looking LOOOONG signature photo's done....But then I quite like my spinning Gordini! mouseflakes
I'm so up for one of these - and just look at the reg! What does it say to you? (clicky piccy)
Milford Cubicle
How slow is that Charade auto going to be considering Subaru thought the Justy with its mighty 1.2 litres was too weak for a conventional slushbox?
wuvvum
I'm so up for one of these - and just look at the reg! What does it say to you? (clicky piccy) Not worth 400 quid though. I just sold my N reg estate for 150. That' one's a diesel so a bit more desirable, but for a car of that age and condition 400 quid is a bit optimistic... mouseflakes
I agree, the BIN is too high. In fact, the start price is pretty much all I'd pay - but I love that 'plate.
Guest
How slow is that Charade auto going to be considering Subaru thought the Justy with its mighty 1.2 litres was too weak for a conventional slushbox? Not as bad as you'd expect. The small engine is counteracted by Daihatsu 3cyl engines being surprisingly torquey. The manual box version is 0-60 in about 12 seconds, so the auto shouldn't be too bad! My mate had the even slower 3cyl Turbodiesel and got on with it very well.
Torsten2001
okay, it's this, I payed a lot of money for it and my missus has gone absolutely mental!

MrRegieRitmo
Is that a 2500 or a 2000 or neither? I'm only vaguely familiar with any old Beemer that doesn't start 3**, 5**, 6**, 7**, 8** !
Torsten2001
It's a 3.0s, and I'm in deep shit with it, she hates it (as expected) and threatened divorce when she heard how much I paid. Serious deeeeep shit!
r.welfare
3.0S? (I can't see the pics) HOT DAMN! What a wonderful barge.
MrRegieRitmo
I thought all women were impressed by Beemers, hence why guys use them as an extension of their....er.....appendage.I'm sure that's not what's happening here, on either count!
mouseflakes
I've not liked the look of any beemers since this period - but the ones from round this era were very nice! That's a corker - I just hope the marraige holds!
Torsten2001
Actually Mt Ritmo one of the problems with the Beemer is my appendage is so large I can't fit it in the 3.0 comfortably, fits nicely in the Minx tho!
wuvvum
That is superb. I woudl give my right testicle for a 3.0 CSL, and what you've got is basically the four door version of that. Looks tidy too - '70s Beemers used to rot like buggery.
MrRegieRitmo
Well according to Torsten you'd prob need to lose a bit of tackle to get into the Beemer anyway! Or perhaps it's just him that is over generous in that dept!
MrRegieRitmo
.... fits nicely in the Minx tho!Is that the filthy little one?
Torsten2001
I think my Filthy little Minx won't be accepting appendages for a while!

A much nicer oneAnd another lovely but un-MOT'd exampleI reckon somebody should buy this to sell me the wings and the o/s driveshaft. Or just fix the head gasket - it's a pretty easy job on these.
