CIH
1985 Oldsmobile Firenza LX Anyone fancy a MK2 Cavalier in a party frock? I certainly do! Look at that, two-tone and all. What a beauty. Wonder if it rusts like a mk2 Cav ? I'd guess "probably"
HillmanImp
Ref them Escorts...They have the appearance of cars that someone has sourced from remote, sunny parts of Europe - Greek islands, Malta etc - for a pretty small amount of money and is about to sell on for a pretty tidy profit.Oh yeah, they are all LHD. Are RHD conversion kits easy to get hold of?
Pete-M
Ref them Escorts...They have the appearance of cars that someone has sourced from remote, sunny parts of Europe - Greek islands, Malta etc - for a pretty small amount of money and is about to sell on for a pretty tidy profit.Oh yeah, they are all LHD. Are RHD conversion kits easy to get hold of?Dead easy to do. Dash is just spot welded in, pedal box is same, steering column is the same, rack is different, obviously. Then it's just a few minor bits of trim, sunvisors, carpet, "Oh Jesus!" handle needs moving, a bit of wiring, an new brake pipes to the master cylinder.Only bits that are scarce are dash tops. People use LHD ones to make rally spec dashes with binnacles at both ends by cutting RHD and LHD ones and joining 'em in the middle. Official Ford trick, that, so at least you can get a bit of money for the LHD one. RHD ones crack, so mint ones all go to the RS boys for megabucks. LHD Mk2 Escorts tend to have the much better 'export' spec heater, Southern European Mk1s tend to be the 'Type 49' Mexico type shell with the extra strengthening plates.Despite the ease of it, mine's staying LHD. Station
I don't see the attraction of these, but obviously some do, as it's obviously been 'stored' outside in the elements. More scene that shite now.

pogweasel
That Marina / Ital is dodgy as f*ck, but it don't make me stop wanting it. Big money for a project mind. I'd like the viva too, but the stupid stickerage shows you will be dealing with an individual of lower than average intelligence.

trigger
I was thinking the same, According to Parkers, 2000 on a X was the newest, I thought they stopped on a T or V plate myself.
Father Ted
No, they made them up to 2000 then Citroen made a big song and dance about not making "big executive cars" any more as there was no market for them.... Then they made the C6 andd proved themselves right!

The intention was to make it look like neither. but to be honest I have had so many questions from anoraks pointing out "its not a marina because ba ba ba" I have pulled the advert. Not sure what I will do next may list it as parts without idenity and then throw in the idenity of a 1971 Marina FOC if the buyer wants it. To be honest its proved to be a right pain Thanks for looking Mike

I can't really see how a series 1 marina front end and an ital back end would work, it just looks weird.Still, this autoshite, and this is a truly shite project idea, so respect is due. Mr_Bo11ox
You can just imagine the inevitable wobbly bathroom sealer between the fibreglass panel and the rear side window, and the funny view out when sat in the back seat, being able to see the inside of the GRP wing through the glass.... just like a real Aston.
