Hurrah!

Seller closed sale early, guess he got his price.I had arranged to go view at 10am today, but he mailed last night, which was decent of him to say car was sold, and sale ended early. So I am still looking for Subaru or Hyundai pickup, maybe I shoud entertain a P100 ?

I think you should buy a chevette. ;)

Top of my head still attached due to size and sheer strength of my ears.... the size of my grin was enough to make top fall aff.

I do like a few of the Vauxhall/Opel/Chevrolet products from the 70's.

Google up Chev Constantia, Komando etc.

Closest I could get to a Constantia above, imagine sedan with serious V8 power, and luxury excess, the Komando was a slightly smaller version, and may have been in the VX range size wise.

....Quite a price to be paying for a Maxi, but I'd be tempted if I had the dosh sitting about! :D

Or, for a little less....

....I'm starting to worry a little....Could dementia be setting in early? Why would I want a MAXI otherwise?

I hate yank tanks but this is class.

Oh Yesss.

I do like that.

Pity about the steering. I want a right hand drive idealy, as I may one day want to export it to SA and they only allow RHD cars in.

Bu I do like it, don't care for the 4x4 but the lines are spot on.

F*** me!!!

OK, I'm high bidder on three of his cars. I'd like them all, but alas money is a little tight right now... Thanks for pointing them out Pog - I'll think of you when I'm in bankruptcy court...

Edit: He's in London, and he keeps his horde on the street? With no tax or test? RESTECP!!!

I see you fancy some X300 action... :D I always thought it was a shame that they went to all the trouble of redesigning the XJ saloon into that wonderful curvaceous shape and then just boshed in the dash from the XJ40. I know they rectified it later on, but still. The early X300s are a hell of a lot of car for the money though - and who knows, you may get that one for a penny...

Hard to imagine something that terminally crusty was still on the road as recently as '05. Nice big pile of spares for someone though.

Who remembers the Yugo 55A that I had in my spotted thread recently and was on eBay over Easter? Auction ended April 8th IIRC, but it’s still there. Might knock on the door and see what’s the score on it.Also, I should of course mention the listing for this fine example of Japanese engineering:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0107142990The odd familiar bidder on it I think (!), and it’s certainly generated a few questions. On the subject of which, Scrappylad did you see the PM I sent you about Accord-Prelude engine swaps?

I want that Piazza! In fact I'm high bidder on it. I want to drop the engine, box and LSD into my HA Viva. :D That chap with the Regata's being a bit optimistic on price isn't he? It's got no registration document, which in a country like Germany is going to be a royal pain in the arse, and I've seen too many cars advertised as "should pass MoT easily" that turned out to be rotten piles of crap - and the TüV is stricter than our MoT. Think I might leave that one... I love that CX, but again it's ridiculously overpriced for its condition, even if it is rare. It's such a shame that cars make so much more in Europe than they do here - they have so much interesting tat over there... :?

Comedy! I seem to recall the mid 80s Cherry had something similar, possibly rear door lock control... :?
