Actually looks semi-acceptable in that photo.

It was built, by me, over a period of 2½ years (between 1983 and 1985). However, for the last 12½ years the car has been stored in my garage, unused.

Oh aye, is that cos you bought a £300 astra that was vastly more capable in every way to use as your transport.

i'd love one of these totally basic and horrible SD1 2000's. If one comes along at a tolerable price I will buy it. This one's not even got power steering, must be like driving an extra-large Marina with a proper front suspension.

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...emZ230336228990

This one appears to have dreadful paint, though I suspect its probably dreadful from the factory.

I have to say I've been pondering this idea for a while now, but I reckon the 2000 won't be that bad to be honest. It won't have power steering, but on the other hand it's only an 4cyl at the front so it won't weigh loads. I'm not a big fan of power steering anyway and the interior will be alright, if not luxurious.

That P100 was £995 BIN this morning, now mysterioulsy its £1295 BIN, its tidy enough but looks like about £750 worth to me. A very smart red TD one with a ful MOT and a few months tax just went through for about £600 in the last day or two.
