r.welfare
Family Drift Car...I like it You can only drift a 340 if it's icy and the tyres are of an obscure Eastern European brand, like Stomil. That rear spoiler must be worth loads of extra downforce, making it even harder to break the rear end free...

Look what's turned up on C&C! ALMOST 100% MARKUP! Wonder if the 'issues' mentioned here (click) have been dealt with in the month since it sold on ebay to make it worth that much more. There's a decent R5 Gordini on the same website for less dosh than that! Also a standard R5 which is more expensive than the Gordini but still nearly a grand less than the R30! ChinaTom
Even Mr. Bickle SURELY doesn't have any of these beauties in the barn. Daft location stops me posting all the Polonezes and 126's, but these two are worth posting: http://cgi.ebay.pl/Dacia-Nova-1-6-GTi_W ... dZViewItemfandabby-dozy GTi spec. http://cgi.ebay.pl/Yugo-Florida_W0QQite ... dZViewItem We had these as the Sana. Good take on a ZX, a year before the ZX came out if my memory serves correctly. Finally, ignoring the silly asking price, what about this? Whoever penned the latest 7 series boot must have had this in mind. http://cgi.ebay.pl/Warszawa-204-204_W0Q ... dZViewItem
mouseflakes
Shome Shcam Shurely?Especially like the way they've highlighted the Lambo doors - like a potential Renault Spider owner is going to be tempted in by that. :roll:EDIT: Now removed by ebay - huzzah! nigel bickle
Thanks for pointing it out -I've already been on to the owner about it -floors gone. Rusted out.Been sitting for over 15 years- gramps died and left it to his 2 daughters. Interior salvedgeable -but thats prob it. If it stays cheap I might try -cos its rhd and tax exempt -nice switchely for one of mine. But the hassle and cost........

r.welfare
Is it just me, or does anyone else find the 'new' eBay layout/search function a pain in the arse? Although it does seem to revert sometimes to the old one. The new screens are just too bloody 'busy' to read easily. That Orion is lovely, nice to see a base spec in undesirable colour surviving, definitely an old giffer job. Spottedlaurel
Orion L didn’t come out with the rest of the range did it? Did Ford think it would steal the rep market from Sierra/Escort, so initially concentrated only on GL/Ghia/Injection which would appeal more to Joe Public? My Grandad liked his Orions – he was a Marina man in the 70’s (four of them bought consecutively) so make of that what you will…
nigel bickle
RW -at the bottom of the page it offers you the option to 'opt out' and revert to previous. it asked me 4 times -and has now given up -leaving me on the old system.

r.welfare
Thanks NB - by the way I posted your Viceroy brochure yesterday. Let me know if you need that wing, once you get the car.My trusty Parkers Plus from 1999 tells me that the L versions of the Orion came out six months after the GLs and Ghias, in April 1984. So this one is quite early. You could get a 1.3 engine on the GL as well, but I think the diesel was L-spec only. Still great to see it on the original steel wheels. Guest
Crikey! I think that was for sale about 6 months ago, or at least a very similar one with the same matching wheels and paint combo. The badge-fest on the back is quite something!
michiel
I was wondering if there were any 4WS cars left a few days ago... would love a Prelude or 626 with 4WS, just because.
r.welfare
Yeah, 4WS became a bit of a technological dead-end really. I understand that Mazda didn't put 4WS on the 4WD 626 because the German TuV would have banned it, they were worried about rear-end slides in slippery conditions when the brakes were applied during cornering.Having said that, did the Galant VR4 not also come with 4WS? That would be my choice. Pentti Arrikkala pulled off a surprise victory on the '88 RAC in one as I recall.
