We discussed the R17 the last time it was listed (clicky). Sadly - it looks like the current seller bought it for over £400 and one month on has (understandably) given up hope. Feel sorry for the chap really - but I think both listings have at least attempted to show the state of the car. Only value I see in it is for parts.

I've always wanted an old fire engine. I could go half shares with my next door neighbour who is also a fan of nee-naws (he's got a legitimate excuse cos of his job, I am just crackers) but the rest of the neighbours might object to it cluttering up The Close :P:lol:

Neighbourly irritation is the number one reason FOR buying an old fire engine.

For instant 'neighbour acceptance' of your new shite old fire engine, simply set light to his living room curtains moments before arriving home in your new purchase.

Or turn it into a half-arsed limo and drive them and up to 7 of their mates around whilst they go "wooo".

I'm not sure, but think there is one at Disney Paris, (Had to do uncle duties and take my two nephews there for a jolly, still scarred to this day! "It's a small world.." Repeat ad nausiem) although that may be a Beauford (which always makes me shout MINI DOOR!). Was used in the film 101 Dalmations..

One of my least favourite cars of all time, the 1100cc escort Mk3:

Posted Image
http://cgi.ebay.co.u...emZ270309672324

AN OLD BOY HAD IT FOR MANY YEARS THEN A LADY GUY IN THE NEXT ROAD HAD IT FOR FIVE YEARS

Oh aye, from Thailand was he?

IT HAD £500 OF WELDING FOR THE LAST MOT

Gah! You just know its going to be held together with 'minimum legal standard' shitey welding and Hadrian pattern sills slapped on over the old ones, the whole lot 'painted' with nothing more than a schutz gun. Utterly horrible!

If you're not worried by the freshly blacked sills, wobbly and mysterioulsy shiny front valance or cheapy-cheap wheeltrims and stripes on this metro van, you'll probably be happy to pay the mini specialuist who's selling it the £625 he's asking!

I on the other hand, would not touch it with a shitty stick.

You do have to laugh at some of these descriptions...

The interior has the correct leather type wipeable seats/a cd player and dog guard behind the front seats. I was shocked with the amount of load space in the rear

So vinyl seats then..... And for a mini/metro specialist, how could he be 'shocked' at the amount of space in the back? It's the same as a car version version without the rear seats FFS.

Wankers. What do they think this is? 1992? Fugging twatting about in an old lorry wearing home-knitted frocks and eating lentils and listening to the levellers. Still, when they get bored of it they can get bailed out by the inevitable wealthy parents before starting up some sort of pseudo-eco-education-bollocks business that appears to do fuck all beyond promoting the eating of lentils, the wearing of usual specs and the importance of mac books. Wankers.
