I share your pain, there's rarely any half-decent tat around here so I'm always having to arrange getting stuff brought over. Even if it's taxed and MOTed it can be a ballache, the Galant and Charmant were only about 100 miles away and with train ticket (£50), one day insurance (£15), fuel (£20-30) we're looking at nearly a ton and that's with the owner being happy to pick me up from the station, God knows what it'd be like with added taxi fares. My greatest expense was obtaining the Mazda 323 Wagon from Glasgow on a recovery truck, which took the driver all day and a hell of a lot of fuel, if it wasn't such a cool little motor and damn cheap to boot, it'd make me sick thinking about how much it cost. Though in absolute cost for the car it didn't work out too badly I guess.Still, I'll continue to pursue these tat re-distribution missions as if I adopted the "Yeah I would love that but I can't have it as it's further away than my county/my town/walking distance/my driveway" attitude of some forums, I'd not have any crocks at all. Glad that on this forum a proper effort is made, keep on truckin' etc.

That R25 does look amazingly good for a £50 mota. But having just done a 600 mile round trip to London with a trailer to collect the R11, the thought of an 800 mile day out avec trailer is not one that makes my bidding finger get ready for action.

that blue van looks ideal for the stinking-of-booze feller who cleans our windows, (and scratches my car and fucks up our strawberry bed while he's working)

You'd want to leave the parcel tape on the numberplates - much better for parking where you like, doing 40 past speed cameras, driving up bus lanes etc. And it makes the London congestion charge very reasonable :D

Liteace would provide a good engine upgrade for Starlet, or perhaps Charmant?! Think it's a 5K, 1.5-litre?

The home of one previous owner Japanese cars:

1973 Datsun 1200 B110 2dr; 1980 Laurel 2.4 C230; 1988 Sunny 1.6 LX N13
1992 Camry 2.2GL (definitely just for spares now); 1993 Camry Estate 2.2GL on the road again!!

And a couple of modern Toyotas

I'm going to buy one of these soon but not this one. I'd prefer an earlier one without the wide arches or fat wheels. Earlier ones look more like the original Willys army Jeep. I'll be ditching the Ford power for Datsun reliability too.
