Ross_K
Not nearly as bad as the last ice cream van on this thread with the big f**k-off freaky fibreglass head moulded onto the back of a Bedford Rascal or some such.

Spottedlaurel
I haven't seen one in donkey's years; does anyone else supsect the seller got it for the oval, then wondered if he'd make a few quid?Or am I just cynical?Does it matter?! If that’s the case, fair play for offering it for sale and giving someone the chance to save it. If nobody does, and it does get raced or weighed in, that’s sad but if no-one stumps up the cash to buy it…The BIN doesn’t seem unreasonable for something so rare, without importing one where would you find another? Mr_Bo11ox
I'd love to buy that mazda, aint gonna happen though sadly! I dont think its been bought for racing. I dont think they do any oval racin up in the N. East, AFAIK theres no tracks up there????Love that BX ad! As you say that is a most impressive heap of rubbish behind it, got to be 15 feet high. As for ther veg oil instruction, i think all citroen literature ever printed states in big capital letters 'DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE ANY FLUID APART FROM CITROEN-APPROVED LHM IN THIS VEHICLE', thus making it all the more amusing that this spanner reckons its fine to just tip a cup of fuggin Crisp N Dry in there. What a twit!!
Ross_K
Obviously a grade A gimp.Just reading his feedback left for others - he seems like the type of pedantic asshole who'd neg you for charging £1 for postage if the envelope turned up with 95p worth of stamps. And that BX is a turd too. To the crusher with it!
mnde
It is indeed a turd. For those who don't know, DTR is a departure from the usual model nomenclature for the UK market cars. In France they are actually called TRD (Tres Riche Diesel, the top spec model, later replaced by TZD), but some bright spark pointed out the potential ridicule value of having a TRD badge on the back of UK market BX and CX models... Ratdat
I strongly suspect that Mazda is probably not very nice in the flesh. It's clearly had rear arches out of something else grafted in which is always a bad omen.

It's clearly had rear arches out of something else grafted in which is always a bad omen.I agree, its got that look about it - funny stance, placca wheeltrims, horrible rear arches, the colour looks wrong, supposeldy the interiors been chopped up to fit a stereo.. all paint a picture of a horribly bodged up motor, probably owned by a well-meaning but not very 'old car aware' person who sent it to the local backstreet garage to be looked after, meaning a succession of welded patches on the structure, blow-over respray parts from other cars cobbled on... not that i'm dissing them, whoever has owned it has done well to get it as far as 2008. wuvvum
WTF Is a Renault goelette It's the predecessor to this. The Goélette had a 1500kg payload and was powered by a 2141cc Etendard OHV four-pot as found in the later versions of the Frégate. It was basically the Renault Master of its day (and the Estafette was the Trafic, and I suppose the Juvaquatre was the Kangoo). It was replaced in 1965 by the SG2 (Super Goélette 2) which is what mine is. The early SG2s had the same engine as the Goélette, but the later ones (like mine) had a 2.6-litre four which made 75 bhp at 3200rpm and 200nM at 2000rpm. So now you know. Bet you're sorry you asked.
