Caution offered for the Cordia Turbo

I absolutely adored the green Morris 2200 Landcrab and wanted to take it home

Could have bought the purple Plymouth Valiant there and then, but kept hands in pocket.
The car does have history on this very forum too.  When it was Duel Red.

A fantastic show as always. Plus, as a bonus, I had possibly the best fish and chips ever in Harpenden afterwards.

Agree, lovely Fiesta but lol at the three grand price tag.

Spent ages perving over the Solara Minx which no-one else seemed the slightest bit interested in!

But this was my car of the show I think. Want gauge in the red zone.

I enquired about the Mk2 Fiesta as it had a for sale sign in the window but no price. It looks lovely but £2,750 is a bit strong for me.

At the show I was chatting to a couple of 'old-school' motortrade/breaker fellas I know, about values and how we're forgetting how much time has flown (we're in our forties) and need to stop thinking all cars are base priced at £1200 with MOTd runners at £500

We agreed anything old and tidy is worth £3k now, as 1980s models can pop onto a classic policy without question.

After all, the value of £1200 twenty years ago is inflated to £2100 today.  Add nostalgia and supply into the equation and we agreed £3k being reasonable for anything.  Especially if wearing a Ford or OMGJDM scene badge along with old boy mileage and can be fixed with a spanner set

Well, as good as ever....for me the Talbot Solara, and green Land Crab were the things I came to see. I pondered, then wandered around both. I wet my pants a little bit when I saw each...but nurse has cleaned me up now.

I also liked the Kawasaki Z900, and was bowled over by the XL 250.

I did not rate the queue at the fish shop....nor the fish at a distant shop which I ultimately bought without a queue!

I guess some stayed at home because of the weather forecast...but a great event with or without the sun.

Me and my Audi 200 went home...thinking about 3 door Saab Burbos (great chassis and so on)....
