Heidel_Kakao
Has anyone had a go at this? I spotted a Citroen XM estate press photo on Ebay & was thinking it would be fun to recreate it with my XM minus the happy couple. I think it was originally taken in Stow-on-the-Wold but I am not 100% sure and would like to narrow it down to the exact location. If you have done it show us your efforts! scruff, HMC, somewhatfoolish and 2 others

Heidel_Kakao
Yeah I wasn't going to go all professional over it, I would be happy enough with a camera phone shot in the same location.

It looks like Talbot Sqaure is pedestrian area with a post so it may require some negotiation in advance to get in. Heidel_Kakao
NorfolkNWeigh
I think that's Talbot Court not Square. I'm sure I've had an overpriced cup of tea and a slice of indifferent carrot cake sitting on those red chairs, it's just an alley way next to a pub on the main square. I see that they are in Talbot Court, but they have either moved or got another place because that building couldn't be in that alleyway. I suppose the decline in "Brown Furniture" antiques and the rise of the Internet may be responsible , or they might have another shop in the are? NorfolkNWeigh
Right, in 1989 Asthon Gower had a shop in the Cotswold Gateway Antique Centre in Burford. This could be a possiblilty , it's still an antique place, but from Streetview doesn't look quite right. Maybe a different angle, seems a good bet because it's on the A40 so an easy location to find for the original photographer Heidel_Kakao and Six-cylinder

Spottedlaurel
What Car? Road Test Yearbook Oct. 1992 - Hoxne Village Store, then by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr I intentionally took a shot at this location recently (sadly I didn't have a Lancer, the Sunny had to substitute). Sunny at Hoxne Village Store, now by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr I'd forgotten until just now that I had got a photo there previously with another from the fleet (and some random bilge that happened to be parked-up). 1975 Citroen Ami 8 Confort + Camry by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr In fairness it is a rather photogenic location where not much changes building-wise, just a shame that usually it's full of modern automotive dross. Matt
Could be anywhere for my car here, not sure I'm willing to spend 14 quid to see if there are any more inside the brochure. I bet it's Photoshopped anyway. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181736145325 Basically the same... martc
Looks like Dean Stanley Street, London SW1P, with a little Photoshop business going on. By the age of the car/photo I wonder if the picture is an example of an actual 'cut and paste' rather than some software trickery?

Now I've correctly identified which street it is there's not much Photoshop going on at all. The main thing being lashings of motion blur I'd say.
