Brodders
Last Friday there was the usual monthly East Coast Retro's show at Shotley. I haven't been able to make it to the last few, so I was was determined to make it to this one, and it was worth it. The weather was perfect for it and there were well over 100 cars there I reckon, so without any further delay here are my highlights in (CAUTION: There are a lot) Firstly, as the pictures are in Alphabetical order, an Alfetta Audi Coupe BMW 635 BMW 730 A very tidy BMW E36 Compact Chevrolet Comaro Citroen 2CV Van Citroen BX GTi Datsun 280CAnd yes, those are TWIN REAR WIPERS! Junkman
When exactly has it become illegal to lynch someone who puts those wheels on an Alfetta? Brodders
Spottedlaurel
The Alfetta was previously fitted with a set of Compomotive TF wheels. I've seen it in day-to-day use a couple of times, it's great to see on the road. Looks like a great turnout anyway, would like to have gone but had stuff to sort with FOTU on the next day. That doesn't seem to have stopped the DAF/Volvo estate's owner, as he was there on Saturday too. I think the first of your unidentified vehicles is a Beauford. Often used as wedding cars with, I think they have Cortina suspension and quite often Datsun straight-six engines for olde worlde charm (and reliability). That Opel Rekord (not Commodore?) coupe is lovely, not seen that around before.
trigger
As one of the organisers I'm pretty annoyed that i couldn't make it, after booking the dates early on in the year Mrs Trigger turned round and said she had booked a holiday that week, I think it's only the second one I've missed in 5 years of doing them. The next one is Friday 11th August if anyone fancies it, it really is a good evening.

Brodders
When you say 'the famous Shotley Amazon', is this the car that never moves off the drive a couple of villages away?Indeed it is. I always thought that it was off the road when going past, but was proven wrong. I also thought it was a Commodore too SL, but after a brief look on the internet, it seems that the Reckord C coupe is very similar to the Commodore (I think the Reckord has 4 cylinder engines and the Commodore has 6 cylinder ones)
