I think I bought this a little.

Green Motoring, all 224 Inches of it!

35307061103_f206a34f9a_h.jpg

35946425982_c3ad30799d_h.jpg

1974 Ford LTD with the 400M 2V, older Stateside resto with some shonkyness attached, the cigarette lighter is working, hence it has no Blues.

Collection will not commence immediately, in fact, the seller in all fairness gives me the chance to flog some of my chod to be still unable to accommodate it.

OMG, what have I done?

Thanks God I'm not reponsible for my actions, otherwise I'd be fucked!

Superb purchase. I had a '76 LTD wagon with the 400 years ago. Probably the worst handling car I've ever owned (with the possible exception of the Regal Reliant) but GR9 fun notwithstanding. Sold it to some bloke who reckoned he was going to drop the 400 in a Sierra - needless to say it was back up for sale a short while later.

Edit: my seats weren't as stylish as yours though.

I'll bring the Mercury if your having a yank meet. It's essentially much posher than an LTD so would be funny to see how miserably yours falls short.

The Autoshite BFO landyachts meet? All you would need is DTCM to turn up with his for a full on 1970s pimp cruise, which would need to be filmed, with suitable dramatic 1970s US cop show music.

Oh my word that is glorious

Slightly disappointed that the Granada wasn't offered up to another AS consortium though, it's become a bit of a celeb and it will be a shame if it ends up out of AS hands/on the oval

(I know, I know...bid on it etc)

I don't think so, but there is something I fell in love with in the orange part of the Emerald Island that would compliment it no end.

Which reminds me to ask the AS Dependency© over there wether they eventually would be willing to assist in a daft purchase?

That add reminds me of the early 80's living at my parents and being car obsessed,my older brother worked in a high management position at a well known travel agents back then and would jet all over the place, and he kept bring over GQ magazine that was pocket book sized back then.

I had no interest in the mag until one day looking over his shoulder I noticed a colour add for the Ford Thinderbird!

Those little GQ's would be dumped at the top of the stairs by the attic door and I would squirrel them down to oogle at the car adverts ;)

The GQ's stunk as they often had scratch and sniff aftershave adverts in them Yuk!

I often wished the car ads were scratch and sniff!

I blame my brother for my love of Yank Tanks Thinking back I wish I had torn out all the car adds as the mags were eventually thrown out in the 90's sometime :(

Literally hundreds of them!

Oh Well!
