Karmann Ghiaman
As previously promised, here are some pictures from the April 5th HSCC meet at Donington Park, taken in glorious monochrome with a proper camera. (If you would like to see any of the cars in colour, may have shots on the digital one). Formula Fords: For photography anoraks only: Boots now seem to send analog 35mil monochrome film all the way to Germany to be converted into CD format. This is expensive, but the Germans clearly do a much better job of processing black & white properly than used to be the case when it was done in England. (Much to the disgust of wife & cats I'm thinking of making parts of our cellar into a dark room & developing SLR pictures at home.) michiel has some beautiful monochromes from the streets of Amsterdam on his site! http://www.flickr.com/photos/michielverburgh/ More later if anyone's interested... Karmann Ghiaman
Well seth, you could get it done by Boots & they will do CDs for about £8 so you can share them online. I, for one, would like to see them! Here are a few more from Donington... One of the Imps going home: Must've liked this Anglia... ...KEPT photographing it! Austin Healey 3000 Mk2: Singer Chamois: If Bernard Cahier had taken this shot in the '60s, those chaps would definitely have had fags dangling from their lips as they handled high octane fuel: Nice participant: Non-racer, but allowed in the paddock: Parked nearby:OMG! Was it for sale?!? My own baby in an early morning carpark where she sometimes raises the tone: On another occasion we went to Chatsworth: To see the BIG BABY: The Farrari Club were also there & I managed to get a few pictures while Mrs KGman was using the facilities which the old Dowager Duchess has so graciously provided for us riff-raff: Here's a beauty, probably assembled in his front room: And here's the chequered flag:Vroom!
