Mk6 Escorts

Hendry

Recommended Posts

Probably to see if there's a single remaining Mk6 in the universe which will meet the criteria without being salty / rusty / bought initially in the wrong postal area / specified with all the correct bits etc.

I'm intrigued as to how long this thread can run for, and it's fun watching Mr Corporation getting virtually inebriated.

My buying technique is nowhere near as involved as this thread. Often it involves going to the auctions or surfing classifieds and buying a car, normally within hours of deciding I'd like to buy a car. Sometimes I'll pop past the auction on the way home and buy something just because it's there and looks interesting. I must be doing it wrong.

No just differently to the OP. Nothing wrong with either. Amazing how Autoshites 2 most derided cars get the most posts, Escorts and Insignias over on the modern quarters.

Mr Floyd Von Quicksilver's Renulaut 6 thread is getting an overwhelming response too (deservedly so) and as such all the shite is right.

Hold on though,it might have been bought in Wales, on ford solutions by a thrifty giffer to avoid Arnold clark, because he worked there ten years previously and somebody shouted at somebody once he now doesn't work there but knows how to google the fuck out of the Scottish motor trade and quote ' knows how to get a good deal?

It's one of the top selling cars of the 90s. They sold millions of the bloody awful things, they're a few hundred quid and they're dead easy to find.

So by limiting the search to cars sold new on a Thursday by Norman Blenkinsop of North Bilge Ford and insisting on dealer mats, flaps, plates & window sticker is making buying the most common car of the 90s about 100x harder than it should be.

But it MUST have the late model run-out boot mat p/no 9345872349857GT897 as fitted to Polish Market 'Escort Pzmrzmz' special editions. And the sticker to prove it.
