Bollox is on the money with his description it's not mint but neither is it hanging, yes there's bits of rust but no holes or impending mot phails, the paint is flat but does come up ok with a decent polish.

Yes it will be on the original trims like it has been for the past 2 months or so.

I had it advertised on gumtree and car and classic had 2 people turn up, one expected a minter and the other thought it was fucked as he couldn't drive worth a fuck.

It says something when I would rather drive this than the newer stuff I had

Crikey.  After that post I went off and looked it all up

Not so sure I'd be getting so upset over a 600 note motor advertised as crusty and average.  I was going to set up the roffle on the Rover 420 today but ermm I might not bother now   :?

edit: the angry post has been removed I see

But the generation of CIH lovers was replaced by the OMGREDTOP! generation

Yeah, even ten years ago when I was into Mantas the CIH was considered a bit of an anchor.

I is old. I pulled out the CIH in my Manta and put in a 2.2 Carlton lump. When I read your post I realised I had my last Manta 24 years ago.

I thought they were alright motors. Nothing really special but nothing really wrong with them either. It's the 16v/Redtop/Coscast boys who didn't like them.
