Well, the Fat Pirate Motor Company (Luxury division) is ready to grant your wish, by generously offering you the opportunity to buy this magnificent 2001 Saab 9-3 SE convertible. It's in very good order, apart from the trifling matter of it requiring a new automatic gearbox:The diff bearings are shot, so at any speed above 20mph it feels like those shadowy demon things from 'Ghost' are coming for you. The quickest fix would be to fit a used 'box, but unless you can do it yourself it's beyond economic repair. It's a 2 litre petrol turbo (150BHP), everything else works (including power roof and aircon, etc), and it's in standard condition throughout. It's got 83K on the clock, and in the last 18 months has had a new turbo (under warranty), sump dropped and cleaned (but the dealer didn't seal it properly, so it leaks), at the front it's had new shocks, suspension arms, track-rod ends, wheel bearings and disks/pads. Good set of Falken tyres. Will need a rear exhaust box before long though, getting a little farty. As you can see, I've chucked a lot of money at it but this was the final straw and I'm done with it. If it was working I'd expect to move it on at £950, would anyone like to make me an insulting offer for it, before it goes on eBay with a 99p start? It's near Basingstoke and I know many of you suffer the horror of living in THE NORTH, so a trailer is likely to be needed. Possibly* worth £800 to £950 when repairs are done....Scratches head..Insulting offer would only be circa £150 from me really, but others closer to you may offer substantially more.Distance innit.
