I know chap - dead handy to have, no diff in length to saloon or hatch. Shame about the box - it's the fairly unbreakable one as well purplebargeken

red5
Where in the north is this one ? Worcester,Worcestershire. Either J7 or J6 of the M5. Or 10 min stroll from Worcester Foregate Street. Or if you want to see the safari park and the SVR it can be in Bewdley.

twosmoke300
Might even do a collection thread on this one . Worked out really well as my brother won a strimmer on eBay that’s in Telford so kinda justifies the trip for a 325 banger . twosmoke300
Because im useless i havent got any pics but I collected this on tues eve so here is a small recap of the totally event free collection. I was in two minds about having this car due to having very little time to travel up and pick it up . So I text my brother to ask if he fancied a jolly one day . Two seconds later he rang me laughing - he had literally just won a strimmer on ebay in Telford! Epic timing so that was decided I was going to have a vectra b estate again . With a day arranged with him and Red5 we set off in the wifes boring but economical(53mpg) Octavia estate. A fairly miserable first 100 miles - the same fucking 100 miles no matter where you go when you live in Cornwall . Rain and wind made me wonder if I could be assed with this whole trip . The skoda is a nice enough car but the steering is EPS and very weird/dead around the centre point which I dont like . Also by the time we had made it to Michaelwood services my ass was ruined. Arrived at Red5's at about 7.30 , swapped the kit over to the vectra and sent brother on his was for his strimmer. Had a nice chat with Sam in his lovely warm front room , put the automotive world to rights ! Getting back in the car was like meeting an old friend , I had a diesel one for 5 years /60k and it was a bloody great car. First impressions were how quiet it was compared to the derv powered version. I had enough fuel left to not panic about finding a station so headed homebound . Quick local Esso stop for fuel and sandwiches and I was off . Nice grunty engine that just felt like a smooth refined TD to me. The journey home was 90% on cruise at 78 ish and averaged 35mpg so happy with that. Its a testimony to the vx seats but I did the whole 250 mile trip in one hit without stopping. Thats 3 3/4 hrs and I arrived home at 11.45. Next day checks reveal ive bought a cracker and im very happy - even the wife smiled when she saw it ! Reading this you prob realise why I dont do many long posts. oldcars, The Moog, cpjitservices and 2 others
The Moog
Have fond memories of these. My dad had one for a while as company car. At the time it felt super quick. Plus I loved the 150 stickers on the doors
cpjitservices
I loved my 1.8 Vec B Estate, I maintain its one of the best cars Ive had - was quick enough and was an Auto - Interior was pristine. Shame it got bridged, and I mean literally, 2 lads bought it off the guy I sold it too and smashed it into a bridge at 45 MPH. I nearly bought it back when I saw it for sale, but it had been wrecked.
