I'm back temporarily, I don't know if I'm staying.  For once, timing on this is perfect for me as it falls at the good end of the month money-wise so I can actually afford to hire and trailer and whatnot.  Intention will be to keep it as it is, do what it needs for an MoT, and clean the knackers off it.  A-framing it with the Princess would be awesome apart from the lack of towbar.  We have a 75 diesel tourer at our disposal which seems a much more sensible recovery vehicle.

This is the right thing to happen to the lil 1100:)

I know I've been missed, and I appreciate those folks asking after me through Mike, it's a bit weird knowing people like me but there you go, it is what it is.  I'll sort this job out first and we'll see what happens.  The forum does look somewhat improved since I was last here, which is a good thing, it'll just take a while for me to get comfortable again.

Hey you! I still have that Princess towbar you gave me, I've never got around to adapting it for something else. Do you want it back? You can borrow my A-frame too, if you like.

SRSLY though, price up your fuel and trailer rent for this job Angyl. Subject to timings, I'm sure I could do it cheaper for you, thanks to the unique way the Pleasure Wagon is fueled. (And my trailer has some new tyres since the Shitefest fun*.)

Actually, if the towbar needs rehoming I will take it back, I always seem to get asked for really weird Princess spares and that's certainly one to have.  If you need to rehome the ex-Chompy R8 I could facilitate that too this year at some point, things are decidedly more stable than they were when you chaps last visited.  Hope all is well with you and yours.

The last time we hired a trailer was for moving the Renault, it was about £250 for the refundable deposit, £70-100 for the trailer and for this pick-up it'll be about £40 diesel in the 75 we think.  It's an 8 hour roudn trip for us.  So if you can do it for less than about £150 then that would certainly be more affordable (not counting the deposit as we always get that back when we hire anything).

...nine years on:

Nice to see it still has some ground clearance for the trailer. These are hydrolastic, right?

Blimey, only £40 of dino for a 8 hour trip towing‽ Moderns, eh‽

I'm sure I can beat £150 though Angyl, to get it to you. I feel a three-way PM coming on...

Yes, the Chompy Rover is still here, we'll talk about that later. And I'll dig out that towbar for you

Joe:  Well, £40 is all Mike was going to charge me at any rate, so it might be more.  But if you're happy to deliver for payment I'm more than happy with that arrangement, just a shame I won't meet cats in person.

Cats:  That looks gorgeous, I mean that unironically.  Rot isn't bad at all either, looks an easy fix compared to what the Princess threw at me.  I'm excited about sorting this one out.

Ironically I was up north on Thursday and Friday,  couldn't quite have got the car into the van though and a trailer would have been quite tricky to reverse back down from here.

I had to blag a young farmer called Edward to spend an hour helping out.

I'm so glad that Angyl is up for taking this on,  I've been half heartedly trying to shift it for ages as I knew it needed to go but hoped I would find new sources of space, time, money and mojo.

Sorry to anyone else that wanted it,  here is a picture to cheer up Billy
