1988 Toyota Camry 2.0 EFi estate going (very) cheap!

Good evening all. As the only family member with a penchant for unwanted crap, I've been given the job of 'moving on' my father-in-law's trusty Camry estate. He's just turned 80, has a few health problems, and the Camry sadly isn't a happy bunny, so it's been decided that the poor old girl's got to go. Although it's very much 'spares or repair' I'm hoping it'll be of use to someone on here - it seems such a shame to just weigh her in.If I had the space/time/cash to fix her I'd keep the Camry myself (it's been in the family since almost new, my father in law bought it as an ex-demonstrator from Allard Rolls in Woking and it's been very well serviced/looked after ever since).Starts and drives superbly, but the handbrake mechanism is seized causing the rear nearside wheel to bind (makes a sort of intermittent clonking noise apparently - I've not heard it). The front to back brake line is split so there's fluid leaking out, although she still had a good pedal when I drove it home yesterday. According to the local mechanic who has done the servicing recently, the back chassis is getting pretty crispy around the suspension area and he doesn't think it'll go through another MoT without major welding. I've not seen it on a ramp in a long while, so can't really comment.MoT till (I think) October 2009, only done 127,000 miles. Body is really tidy (apart from the back arches), the blue velour interior is truly lovely and other than the brake problems the old girl is mechanically brilliant. Engine, box, running gear all seems to be faultless and I seem to remember the steering rack being replaced only a couple of years ago. Good tyres all round etc, unused and perfect Dunlop spare. I'll stick some pictures up in a minute when I've worked out how to do it. £150 anyone? I'd like to keep the battery if I may, so bring a spare and I'd advise a trailer or at least an A-frame. Don't want anyone hoofing it up the motorway and then luzzing it up someone's arse when the brakes (inevitably) go.We'll probably cash the tax in - but will hold onto it until the car's gone so if you want that too it's available at extra cost (it's valid till 31/08/09).Hoping someone on here will want it - even if it's not worth repairing (I honestly don't know) I'm certain it would make a great spares car for somebody. It was the top of the range one, with all the toys. The whole family will be sad to see it go - it's been a superb car. :cry: Anyway, over to you.

RWD? Sadly not, and we genuinely wouldn't have minded if it had gone 'round the track'. Better that someone has some fun with it than see it just going straight in the crusher! Hoping it'll do someone a turn for spares if they're already running a similar one - there can't be many left now surely? I love those style Camrys as well, have had two of 'em. Air con and cruise control on that one no doubt unless I'm very much mistaken - looks like the exec version.If you get no luck on here I'd consider ebay, the estates seem to be fetching a bit of money these days (even with the standard wheelarch rot.)

Cheers guys.Carlo - you're right, it is the GLi Executive version - cruise control, lecky sunroof, air con - all the toys. Allard Rolls (the original main dealer) used it as their demonstrator.Mr Bollox - thanks for the advice, I think I will give Ebay a go (although the offer of £150 incl the battery to anyone on here still stands, if an Autoshiter wants it I'll just pull the Ebay auction).Should I list it under 'Cars', 'Car Spares', 'Classic Cars' or 'Classic Car Spares' do you think?
