Frogchod
Just been for a 1260km round trip to the Olde Country. I took my Citroen Jumpy (Dispatch) and used that to camp in.I thought that emptying it of all my tools and stock it would be a bit quicker but no, it was still as slow as fuck. Anyway I got a few shots, a few from the driving seat as the average speed in England seems to be about 3mph it was safe to do so .Here we go:A Galaxie:A new Mustang. First one I've seen in the metal, I thought they'd be bigger....One of those Bongo Friendly things:Jag at a party I went to near KidderminsterAnd a purple Cactus was there too. I'll admit it I like these.Fast forward a bit coz traffic was actually moving ish on Sunday to Newhaven port where a French car club was returning from a weekend away. Lots of want in this queue. And finally my ride home plus bonus pint of Old Hen. cros, eddyramrod, NorfolkNWeigh and 12 others
John F
I love those little Opels. I know they're not really shite, but still.
Junkman
...as the average speed in England seems to be about 3mph... That's because the English just don't drive the fuck ON. They dawdle about as if life were endless. It drives me nuts. Ghosty, mercrocker, Frogchod and 3 others

At least the traffic moved on Sunday even if it was 40mph in 60mph areas. Actually moving was a relief after Fridays slow moving car park.. Followed a Jowet Javelin for a bit on Saturday (on the A3400), he was going well, 50+ in a 50 zone until we both got stuck behind a silver thing trundling along at 42mph. Seemed to be stuck in top gear as it was painfully slow on the slight inclines. Junkman
Junkman
Oh totally. There are these ridiculous speed limits everywhere and then they don't even exhaust that potential. Are those zombies taking Valium, too? puddlethumper
wuvvum
There also now seems to be an unwritten taboo on overtaking anything on a single carriageway, even if there's half a mile of clear road in front. I assume your Jumpy is a DW8-engined version? I found with my similarly-engined Scudo that it was equally glacial empty or with a couple of hundred kilos in the back. Spottedlaurel
Is the green Peugeot a 203? I do find them to be rather attractive. Opel GT is nice too.

It trundles along at around the speed limits ok. Except for French motorways where 130kph is attainable downhill only, so I tend to stick to 110 at which speed I can still hear radio 4On the plus side it seems the DW8 is fairly robust. My van is at 410000 and the bugger still keeps going. cros
