Just had a thought.... rather than fixing the lock I could install a central locking kit, on eBay they are £12!!! Would be nice to be able to pop the locks with a remote instead of using the key like some kind of caveman :)

Welcome back!  There's nowt wrong with having to stick a key in a lock like some sort of caveman.  Your house doesn't have a plipper so you're not that fancy yet :P

ToMM came with a plipper alarm fitted [now dead/never worked]

I have bought a fleebay 'plip kit' but yet to brave loom chopping :(

Wallsend?.....it's not the End of the Walled ;<)
