Heidel_Kakao
Say good morning to Cedric and derv XM (Big Green Bus) oh and Ma H_K's shitty modern Fiesta and next-door neighbors Focus. Cedric must feel right at home with all this "snow"Â All you chaps and chapesses with nice reliable modern daily drivers have a stern word with yourself, all you need is a 1960's Nissan. nigel bickle
Congrats. A long trip, well executed. Good write up, too. Couple of days off, then it's the ' fun' of legalising it, hopefully before the whole damn country shuts down for a Pagan Festival. skattrd
Awesome car, collection, and write up. If you think NOVA/customs might value the car at less than you paid, you can get them to value it for import duty. They just ask or a description of the car.I did this with a Daihatsu I imported, which they valued at quite a bit less than I paid. ... That said, Finland is EU isn't it, so no import duty? Pillock
Don't you dare get this thread shut down over a religious diversion  Along with most of the ASMM, I had a quick blat in this and can confirm that it's a very, very nice thing. It sounds lovely, it has plenty of poke (as much as a carpark full of people would reveal) and feels like it would just be a wonderful place to spend time. Thanks Heidelburg_Coco for allowing several weirdos to do laps of Cannock. dome, Dick Longbridge, Sigmund Fraud and 17 others

Spottedlaurel
Somewhat appropriate to see it in the snow, after its years in FInland it'll feel quite at home. Random Cedric 130 images that I have: Datsun Cedric 2000 Station Wagon (130) export brochure by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Before the squared-up front end, the original 130-model Cedric looked like this. A handful came to the UK, Datman was sent a period photo of one only the other day. Datsun Cedric 2000 Station Wagon (130) export brochure by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Japanese estates were sold either as a wagon, intended primarily for personal use..... Datsun Cedric 2000 Van (130) export brochure by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Or as a van, for commercial use. Although it's a generic export brochure this one does have a stamp on it for a UK dealer - Berkeley Garage of Milton Road, Southampton. Doubtless long-gone. Here are some that I've seen myself: Datsun 2000 Cedric (130) by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Datsun 2000 Cedric (130) by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr This one was in Medler's back in the '90s. 1970-ish Datsun 2000 Estate, Swaffham c.2000 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr 1970-ish Datsun 2000 Estate, Swaffham c.2000 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr I think Junkman mentioned this one earlier on. I seem to recall it was responsible for rather comprehensively destroying a Granada hearse with some help from Swaffham's post and wire fence. 1970 Datsun Cedric 2000 Estate (130) by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr 1970 Datsun Cedric 2000 Estate (130) by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr That unusual opening side window is good for dogs. These aren't my photos, the owner sent them to me but I did see it myself...... 1970 Datsun Cedric 2000 Estate (130) by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr At the rainy JAE at Billing in 1997, where it drew a crowd. I believe it does still exist in storage somewhere, but it hasn't been on the road for a long time. 1968 Nissan Cedric Custom Six (130) Billing JAE 1997 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr 1968 Nissan Cedric Custom Six (130) Billing JAE 1997 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr It's unknown if saloon models were sold in the UK, as any surviving 130 models I know of have all been estates. This one was an import from Japan, it belonged to a chap from Scotland who amassed a rather large collection of big Datsuns and Nissans (including a President). I haven't got a clue if it survives, DVLA says untaxed since 2000. Wedding Day, 2002 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr And finally, a smart white saloon was used as one of our wedding cars. My friend from Holland kindly brought it over with him for the weekend, I think it was originally from Switzerland. Mrs SL had the privilege of being driven to the venue in it. Conrad D. They_all_do_that_sir
What a way to end 2017 - I can't imagine there being a better collection thread this year, both in terms of the car and the trip......and a big pile of bonus win with the Lego content. You've got me hankering after a Toyota crown again, specifically a mid 80s one. As a kid a friend's dad was given one in need of repair in lieu of some work he done (He was either a spark or a plumber). It lay behind the house and we used it to play in.
