dollywobbler
Yeah, I know some don't like RR, but I quite fancy the idea of a load of shite going around the sprint track. I plan to be there scraping the door handles on my 2CV, unless I've got something even less suitable for track action... After the hugely successful 2008 event Retro Rides Gathering is returning in 2009, bigger, better and more action packed. Sunday 16th August will see the Retro Rides Gathering head to the Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford, Yeovil, Somerset. As in previous years the show will have the finest Retro machinery representing the wide range of vehicles in the retro scene from hot rods and customs through to circuit racers and stock dailys. In addition to the fantastic line up of cars there will be traders, show prizes, cars from the museum offering rides and for 2009 the Retro Rides Gathering has RWYB sprint track action on the Sparkford circuit. Cost of entry is £15 per car, so fill up with as many people as you can fit and make a great day out. Booking an advanced entry pass through the website will also get you one free pass to the museum. For full details of the show head to www.retroridesgathering.com Club displays are very welcome, for more info head to the website.

dollywobbler
Autoshite stand sounds fun, though I'll be there on 'business' - very low key though!
pandamonium
Sounds awesome. I plan on putting beaded seat covers on the Avenger and buying a Fue orange air freshener. I already have a tartan picnic mat!
Negative Creep
I'll be going to this, nice to have an event that's pretty local as well. Will be about the time I put the Datsun up for sale as well so am hoping to get some interest there

MrDuke
I'd totally be up for joining the AS stand, except that my shite-spec ride has colour-coded bumpers... I mean, I could spray them satin-black for the occasion, I suppose...
Mr_Bo11ox
I would love to go to this, bit of an epic jaunt though down to Yeovil. Gonna have to see how the finances stack up a bit closer to the time I think.

Mr Lobster
Yeh its a fair old run for me too from deepest Lancashire but should be worth it I fink.
Pillock
Since it's £15 per car, anyone travelling a fair distance just put whether you'd mind a passenger to share petrol costs.... I don't think I'd have a suitably shite ride but I'd love to go

Mr Lobster
So is it worth contacting the relevant RR bods about having an Autoshite stand or are we all going to mingle?
