Right... thanks to the ebay bell-end that failed to turn up & actually pay for my camper van, I'll almost certainly have insufficient funds to fettle my Calibra before 9th July so I'll probably be on the bike.

Hey folks

How do people feel about postponing the Lakeland Motor Museum event until next week, i.e. Sunday 16th?

I've got a load of things on next weekend & it would be helpful if we could re-schedule this. I've chatted to Joe and he's in the same boat, what with being involved in the rescue of the ADO16 and all that (see http://autoshite.com...ee-austin-1100/).

I / we can still make it if folks have a preference for next Sunday though... any thoughts?

Not too big a problem for me as I'm out of money for the next week and am pretty flexible. Am doing Cannock the day before that though (as might be a few others (Mr Fowler?) which could pose an issue.
Both are OK though.

Yep. This branch of Scotoshite will be visiting the Midlands Massiv on Friday/Saturday the 14th/15th at Cannock (Clicky Linky for the thread). However if it gets moved to the 16th then I'll definitely be available although I may turn up in the Golf for fuel economy reasons.

Grand, that's the three of us "Definites", plus some SVM for Sunday 16th. And hopefully a few more.

I'll pm Rich now to see if I can re-arrange, and hopefully my life will be much easier this week.

Obvs I'd love to come along and catch up with you lovely bastards but I'll be back over the other side of Europe then and even I'm not stupid enough to trek that far for a meet.
Actually, I'm plenty stupid enough to do that but unfortunately also plenty much too skint.
John and Joe, I'll defotronic pop up your way August time though.

OK, it seems that 16th is better for a lot of people so let's go with that then.

Same timings, etc., just different date.

Bit of info from Eddy about the rescheduled date of 16th July:

"There's a show on near J36, the one that's usually at Heaves Hotel, so there might be a bit of traffic confusion for people coming in that way."

OK folks, I've checked the weather forecast for next Sunday (16th) and it seems quite good.

Meeting time/place is 11am in the car park outside the Lakeland Motor Museum, Old Blue Mill, Backbarrow, Ulverston LA12 8TA. We'll hoist the AS banner somewhere prominent if Ghosty is still OK to bring it along.

https://www.lakelandmotormuseum.co.uk/

So... who's up for this event then? Here's the list again.

There won't be a great deal of traffic problems, there isn't most years, if you must come off at 35 and down the A6 then left at levens hall, but I'm sure there is no need, I'll try and pop along as its a few mins away but I need to buy a car as I've just sold mine so I'll probably not make it.
