Event Classic Stony 4th June

I guess most of you fine folks will be at Shitefest, but for those who aren't is anyone planning to go to this in Stony Stratford tomorrow? There's usually a very good turnout and we should be there bright and early with the Maxi.

I remembered your post this morning and, on the spur of the moment, my son and I dashed over in the Tipo - it is our regular transport, not an exhibit.  I took my mobility scooter in anticipation of parking on the outskirts but we luckily found a space quite near the action.  I looked out for a Maxi and only spotted a nice maroon one - was that yours?  As always, there was a huge variety of vehicles.  Most enjoyable.  If and when I get my camera's sd card next to my rickety Asus upstairs, I'll upload some photos.  This Macbook Pro is ultra reliable but does not have a USB port or a card reader.  The Asus has both.

Makes and models are probably obvious to most (i.e. I'm a lazy sod) but the small green car had a Simca badge - not a car I've seen before, the dark blue sporty job was a Jowett and the large maroon soft top was a Lagonda.

Good to see so many people looking at the Maxi. I recognise most of those cars but didn't see that Vanguard estate. The green one appears to be a Simca-built Fiat Topolino (I did see it but for some reason didn't get a closer look or a photo) and the big red drophead is a 1955 Lagonda 3-litre - I liked that and would take it over a Rolls or Bentley any day.
