The side mounting bolts need removing and the seat taking out. The bolts for the centre bit are in place. I forgot about them and just lobbed the seat it and the mounting plate sat happily over the bolts whilst I fastened the two ends down.

Sound. I should be able to fix that tomorrow. Cheers

Spent the day out aat theSupertouring Day up at Knockhill today - the Alfa was the conveyance of choice!

Dome approval was achieved, and my Bro reckoned it drove well, so It got a bit of a treat..

We went to and Alfa Farm (not really!)

A V reg 2.4JTD yielded a couple of useful spares, and I'm working up a list of additionals (whereupon the tame fifer Dome will be dispatched to assist removalry)

First up, a new set of window switches

then an actual 205/60/15 in decent condition (if Muddy) was liberated - solving the 195/65/15 issue. It'll get new tyres if its ffor the long term keeping:

Had this a week today.

520 miles done, fuel light not on yet.

A full week worth of commuting, no issues. It even behaved when the Clio was acting up with a seized caliper this evening- here it is on a "half way cool down" whilst getting the Clio home..

Fix hole in front wing pass side

On the radio wiring fix the easiest way to do it is swap the pins in the back of the iso plug rather than cutting and splicing the wiring. You can usually release them with a small flathead (i.e jewellers size) and a bit of a wiggle.

Good knowledge - I shall research further:) It needs choonz

The upper wishbone thingy was replaced with a used good one. This eliminated 97% of squeak. Remaining percentage likely down to bottom one.

I think I'm gunna just do all the front suspension, as the squeaks ruin the car for me

New all round:)also I want to see what the handling is like with 'as new' suspension:)

Top wishbone that was groaning had a brand new Ebay one, which by time PBK had MOTd was fucked*. I would suggest getting some that are of known quality

*Probably not helped by Supernaut giving it the beans round the track.

It squeaks like a motherfucker ALLL THE TIME.

I've seen lemforder top arms on eBay at reasonable cost. That plus a set of lower arms/arb drop links and bushes should work.

It was pressed into service today to do Estate stuff..

But I'd bought an Alfa estate. Only 40% of the rear seat would fold down. And the fucking handle broke on the 60%.

I improvised

I got the bookcase back home with no further issues and got it unloaded.

Then I tried to sort the middle seat bolts Ken had mentioned.

post-17572-0-34457400-1497104355_thumb.jpg

Unfortunately, when the other bolts holding the seats in had been tightened, this bent the middle brackets, making it a total PITA to get them out.

Deployment of the hammer was required to get the brackets off.

I eventually got them out and got the seats refitted with the correct number of bolts.

Just got to sort out what to do about the 60% of the rear seat that won't fold.. Got to be a way to get into the mechanism?!
