320touring
As in forgot entirely about the centre mounting bolts. I am a stupid person. Are the bolts in the car? I found one bolt on the back seat. Middle full belt is not bolted in but a lap belt is?

purplebargeken
The side mounting bolts need removing and the seat taking out. The bolts for the centre bit are in place. I forgot about them and just lobbed the seat it and the mounting plate sat happily over the bolts whilst I fastened the two ends down. 320touring

320touring
A few thoughts on why the Fabia had to go, and the Alfa 156 had to return in 2.4 JTD form:)https://fuguttycars.wordpress.com/2017/06/04/another-alfa-arrives/ Dave_Q, purplebargeken, Jim Bell and 1 other
Lord Sterling
Excellent! Good to see the Alfa receive some tidying up attention. Loving the mats, obviously. Fronts or full set?

320touring
Spent the day out aat theSupertouring Day up at Knockhill today - the Alfa was the conveyance of choice! Dome approval was achieved, and my Bro reckoned it drove well, so It got a bit of a treat.. We went to and Alfa Farm (not really!) A V reg 2.4JTD yielded a couple of useful spares, and I'm working up a list of additionals (whereupon the tame fifer Dome will be dispatched to assist removalry) First up, a new set of window switches then an actual 205/60/15 in decent condition (if Muddy) was liberated - solving the 195/65/15 issue. It'll get new tyres if its ffor the long term keeping: all in all, a successful day:) The Moog, Dirk Diggler, Cavcraft and 1 other

Supernaut
Oh... you didn't notice a white BMW 316 and a doom blue Xantia next to a couple of tents on the hill behind Clark, did you? Me and 17-Coffees were there all weekend. This also means you now own both cars I have driven around Knockhill. Cavcraft and 320touring

Rod/b
On the radio wiring fix the easiest way to do it is swap the pins in the back of the iso plug rather than cutting and splicing the wiring. You can usually release them with a small flathead (i.e jewellers size) and a bit of a wiggle. 320touring

purplebargeken
The upper wishbone thingy was replaced with a used good one. This eliminated 97% of squeak. Remaining percentage likely down to bottom one.

Dave_Q
There are places on eBay doing top and bottom wishbones and drop links for <£100 all in, no idea on quality though. Possibly worth doing ARB bushes at the same time, that will be everything.
The Moog
Top wishbone that was groaning had a brand new Ebay one, which by time PBK had MOTd was fucked*. I would suggest getting some that are of known quality *Probably not helped by Supernaut giving it the beans round the track.
320touring
It squeaks like a motherfucker ALLL THE TIME. I've seen lemforder top arms on eBay at reasonable cost. That plus a set of lower arms/arb drop links and bushes should work. It was pressed into service today to do Estate stuff.. But I'd bought an Alfa estate. Only 40% of the rear seat would fold down. And the fucking handle broke on the 60%. I improvised I got the bookcase back home with no further issues and got it unloaded. Then I tried to sort the middle seat bolts Ken had mentioned. Unfortunately, when the other bolts holding the seats in had been tightened, this bent the middle brackets, making it a total PITA to get them out. Deployment of the hammer was required to get the brackets off. I eventually got them out and got the seats refitted with the correct number of bolts. Just got to sort out what to do about the 60% of the rear seat that won't fold.. Got to be a way to get into the mechanism?! purplebargeken
Dave_Q
I would start by levering the back off - looks like it's just held on with those plastic xmas tree style clips. Should be a cable or something fairly apparent inside I would have thought.
