Volkswagen LT35 motorhome, straight six 2.4 diesel, 11 months MOT, AS price £2000

I'm not using my camper enough, and it's taking up too much space, so it's time to sell it on - coincidentally, just in time for Shitefest  :-)

It's a 1988 VW LT35 2.4 diesel n/a, mileage is 137,000. IIRC it has a bosch pump, so veg is an option.

I've put it through the last 3 MOTs, it got no advisories on the last two. It's structurally very good and the panels are in great condition for its age, although there are one or two small dings. The paintwork has... patina. And the rear windows are straight out of some terrible 1970s caravan - functional rather than beautiful.

The tyres are 8-ply and have loads of tread.

It is registered as a motorhome and is equipped with the usual gubbins - cooking facilities, fridge, water, heating, etc. - although I've only ever used it as a day van so haven't tested them and would advise a prospective purchaser to do so.

There is currently no toilet / shower but there is space for one... I removed the "shower room" to make space for a second row of seats for a trip to Germany in 2015, these seats have now been removed.

It has 12 V electrics and mains hook-up, these appear to work OK but I haven't really investigated them in any great depth.  I pulled the posh DAB stereo out to fit in my Discovery, I'll try to fit some sort of stereo to the camper before Shitefest.

It's not fast. Top speed on the Autobahn was about 75 mph, but it prefers to sit at about 60. Fuel is somewhere in the mid-20s on a run, which is OK for something of this size I suppose.

Insurance costs buttons as it's a motorhome.

As mentioned in the title, I'll be taking the camper to Shitefest so it can be viewed / bought there (it is fitted with a tow bar, so A-framing can occur). Otherwise it can be viewed in West Yorkshire.

Here are some pics. As usual, the paintwork looks worse close up.

Will you take £50, a broken iphone and some mouldy spraints?

Not if it's the iPhone you fished out of Janet's Foss last weekend (hmm, that sounds a bit dirtier than it actually is... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet%27s_Foss)

But I could be interested in the spraints, how many have you got?

OK, the LT is back up for grabs... I seem to have underestimated the ability of eBay mongs to obfuscate their true nature.

The one that won the auction didn't seem to understand that he'd need to sort out his own insurance and actually come & collect the vehicle once he'd agreed to buy it. And naturally the other prospective buyers have now all found other vehicles...

Any interest? I don't want to have to put it back on bloody eBay...
