LostnotFound
My 528i from the late '90s.Limo tints all round,3-spokes,& lowered springs .It had a smaller steering wheel & one of those Knight Rider sensors on the dash that made it look like I had an expensive alarm. There were a pair of Cibie Oscars at the front,& an M badge on the boot Nice try attempting to distract us with a German repmobile and see if we miss the rather more awesome cat riding a motorbike next to it! dave21478
Remember the double-wiper blade fad? You could get an adaptor so instead of one measly wiper blade per arm, you could have TWO! For absolutely no advantage whatsoever as far as I could see. My neighbour had this setup. He quickly found that the added resistance of the motor trying to drag 4 blades down a dry screen drew too much current and repeatedly popped the fuse. The obvious solution was a higher rated fuse, which eventually led to the splines stripping on one of the spindles. dollywobbler, Stanky and paulscavalier

Dead_E23
Does anyone remember those suction cup wavy hands from the 70's? I do; they were called Wonky Wavers! I think they came with slogans on them, but can't remember if they were to do with football teams, radio stations or seaside resorts. It'll be one of other of those, I bet. dollywobbler
Single wiper conversions that parked upright like a touring car There were two approaches to this. A proper conversion which swept the whole screen, and parked in the middle, or the home-brew special - take the driver's wiper off and move the passenger one to the middle... sierraman
Why would you want a wiper that parked in the centre of the screen, I imagine that would be incredibly distracting.

ProgRocker
Had a 'Eddy the Duck' window stick on. Loved to the 'Pioneer/AIWA/Kenwood' rear window stickers. Used to see the ////AIWA back window flash on quite a lot of Belgian boy-racer cars as well as repositioning the rear number plate to the bottom of the bumper. Pioneer/Kenwood were also found on 90s flight jackets of which I am a proud owner of.I think my sister had a Garfield on her mark 3 Escort. At the end of the 1990s I had a South Park 'Kenny' on the window of my mark 4 Escort. I also had a 'Pioneer' rear window sticker.
sierraman
Seen a lot of cars lately driven by 'yoofs', invariably a 9 year old VAG, with the number plate on the dash in the window. Presumably this is to whip out the way when you are going through a red light.
