Flat4
Evening folks A friend of mine has suggested I join in case some of you might be able to help with the transportation of a day van for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your epic adventures while waiting for my membership to be approved so I hope some of you might be up for the challenge, or maybe know some one who would be I bought a day van on eBay last month and was intending to fly down to Devon to collect it, but various things have gotten in the way. Now after a minor accident at the start of the month, I don't feel safe driving it all that way back and wondered if anyone was or can recommend a reliable transporter to get it as close to me as possible.....in Scotland.....I have booked 2 transporters already and it's looking like I will need to try a third so if anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be most appreciated. It needs to be collected asap but there is no desparate hurry to get it back to me, apart from the MOT running out on 19th June....

I may have got a transporter on Shiply but it's working out quite expensive now Just kinda desperate to get the thing home and start tinkering! Pillock
You can attach pictures directly, click "more reply options" and "attach file". Think you need a few more posts first but should be fine Welcome to the board! I'm assuming username + "van" means you've bought a Transporter? Although secretly I'm hoping it's a Dodge Spacevan with a 2.0 Turbo Subaru Boxer

chaseracer
Pour t'encourager, one of our number bought a slightly sketchy MGF from somewhere in the north of England and drove it straight home to the south of France. Then converted it to LHD. The Moog and wuvvum
Pillock
AFAIK, Scotland is still RHD... for now. Gawd knows what's happening with the world though That would make the M6/M74 changeover a bit more interesting! The van is still Jap tho Transporter is about the only UK-made day van is it not?

Flat4
Got a very last minute deal on Shiply, paid about £100 over the odds IMO but at least it's finally moving. Transporter's just called for another number for the seller and it should arrive tomorrow It's coming to Ayrshire to live by the seaside, so I think it will need to be waxoiled pretty quick. Next thing I need is a reasonably priced body shop coz it has a few dings to be sorted! Pillock
Flat4
The Funbus has arrived There isn't a straight panel on it but it runs very well and the interior is pretty close to mint and very, very comfy Shall do another thread with pics, once I work out how to load em....
