John F
Achtung, smoll car fans! A mate is thinking of selling his Fiesta 1.2 Zetec, it's in fairly good condition (slight blebbing on the o/s rear arch, nearside is OK) with 102,000 on the clock & six months' MOT. Car is in West Yorks but could be brought to Shitefest for inspection. He's looking for £250. Price reduced to £80 - Yes, that's just EIGHTY POUNDS for an MOT'd FIESTA! Any interest? Pics taken while we were changing the n/s CV boot so it's jacked up, it doesn't sit that high usually. Blebbage on offside rear arch Nearside rear arch: Bonus picture of a broken fork: oldcars, barefoot, Junkman and 2 others

He's still got to find a Mk 6 1.4 to replace it, so it'll be a few weeks before it's actually up for grabs.
Guest bangerfan101
I've been to look at a few mk6s lately. Some right knackered old shit kicking about. What's it like on oil consumption? That's usually the death of the zetec if the wob doesn't set in first
John F
Re. oil, apparently it's using about a quarter of a litre per month or thereabouts. I've suggested to the owner that he shows his face in this thread to answer any other questions, seems daft routing them through me...
sierraman
When they are burning oil I'd just chuck any old oil you can get hold of, even used will be fine.
Guest bangerfan101
Been there done that. It's after its got really low the problems start. The oil light on a face lift never use to come on. By that time the piston rings were fucked. Low on power and a smoke screen when having to pull up at traffic lights. The exes face lift shit it's rocker gasket filling the spark plug holes to the brim. Messy job changing them plugs after its all disappeared down into the cylinder. sierraman
I had one of these for years, took some serious abuse, never serviced it, it just kept going. So long as there's enough oil in it and the belt has been done they just keep going.

John F
Matey has bought himself a new car now, so this smoll 1.25 Zetec Fiesta is up for grabs if anyone's interested. Price is reduced to £150 as it only has about a month's MOT left. It's in West Yorks.
