Felly Magic
Went to the brilliant classic car show at Plough Corner in Little Clacton, I'd say there were about 400 entries, cost just £4 to get in, and had a spanking day. Highlight for me was chatting to an owner of a Lotus Carlton, the poor bloke has severe complications due to type 2 diabetes, is a double amputee (legs), is losing his sight and has kidney failure, he was such a really friendly chap, his friend drives the Carlton for him, and he did tell me about getting 170 out of it at Bruntingthorpe, he then let me sit in the beast, it's not a low miler either, with 117,000 on the clock, not many near 180 mph cars have that many miles on. There was also a normally aspirated 3.6 litre Carlton estate there, that has full badermatic, but I bet it still shifts, photos from the day are on my flickr, but here are a few samples to tease you. Surprised I didn't see Triggs & co there, as it's fairly local to East Coast Retros patch. The Lotus is the one I sat in, fnarr wibble, drool, plus me grinning like a fool, a Lotus Carlton is a dream car of mine. Nice 1970s datsun Cedric owned by an old bloke, and I never thought a buttery biscuit base 3 banger Suzuki Swift would ever be seen at a car show. Guy Salmon spec awful XJS with what looks like Hellfrauds tat nailed on. Bonus LDV Sherpaness from stallholders, both ex Postman Pat MOAR ON FUCKR HERE https://www.flickr.com/photos/northernsoutherner2012/albums/72157684000162656 michael1703, mercrocker, UmBongo and 5 others

Felly Magic
Another teaser of some of the motors there, the estate Carlton is the 3.6 litre one. Oooft. NOTORLVOKSORLZRSHIT. Also old Studebaker to whet Herr Junkman's apetite, also half canvas 4x4 Pandamonium, never seen one of them before, other assorted tat included here including a Saaaaaaaaab Sonnet, and a rubberband tastic Daf in beigey brown, and that Fiat Uno is a 1.9 diesel, talk about bloody rare. Hnng, I think a yoghurt truck has crashed outside my gaff Magnificent Rustbucket, mercrocker, Uncle Jimmy and 1 other

Ah, I wondered where the ECR mob was, you can't be in 2 places at once. I needed a perk up from a pretty crappy week, chatted to the lad with the diesel Uno, loves it, and it has the same fault as our old one, a useless handbrake that never works, no matter how many times you rebuild it. So many friendly people there, didn't pap everything. Glad I managed to pap Trigger Snr It's open to anything pre 2000, even though i did spot a modern Lambo and a Morgan Aero 8, loved seeing that Swift, it's pure Autoshite in every way, a mate's mum had an identical one, slow as fuck but what a noise from it's 3 banger

Spottedlaurel
The chap with the A35 has owned it from new! He lives in the next village to where I grew up, he and his wife drove buses and coaches and took me to school on numerous occasions when I was a youngster (mainly when they drove for Rules). They take it to a lot of local events. That black Cedric looks fantastic, I also rather like the Opel Rekord/Commodore. Must try and get along to this event one year. I need an excuse to visit Clacton/Jaywick/Frinton/Walton again. Aston Martin and Felly Magic
RoadworkUK
I've not been paying attention, and had no idea this was happening. Not that I'd have been able to go, though. I used to quite enjoy the old Walton-on-the-naze car show, too.
Felly Magic
It was an Opel Rekord Was nice to see a Charger that hasn't been made into a General Lee or Bullit replica
Felly Magic
As with a lot of car shows, there were a few slinking off early, makes me wonder if they have a playtime curfew and have to be home for Sunday lunchtime, or if they don't get their car back in the garage by 1430 it turns into a pumpkin
