The newest car I've ever had. MOT Nov. £50 to you, Sir.

I took this, perhaps foolishly, in payment from my mate Mike, in exchange for running him down to Brummyland for his shiny new* RAV4.

I could pull the batt'n'cat, and bridge the rest, but it's tested 'til autumn, so thought I'd give it a chance.

Apart from the obvious, it needs a clutch. Badly. It'll just creep up our hill gently in first and can be driven most places, but I know not for how much longer.

It clonks from the front but the are a pair of new lower arms available for an extra £10 or £20 donation to the new AS hosting fund.

The EML is on, I cleared it last year, and that lasted long enough to pass its test, then it came back.

There's no wireless in it, Mike wanted that back for his RAV.

It had a good battery, but I'm nabbing that to perk up my Mazda, it will come with an un-warrantied get-you-home job.

It probably hasn't been serviced for five years, but has been 100% reliable because Japanese.

It was SORN'd last night, but still shows this:

There's a third of a tank of pez in it, so what are you waiting for?

I followed a new Ignis the other day. I came up behind it at some lights, clocked it and burst out laughing - the shape of the rear end just made me laugh, not as a piss take but in a 'that cheered me up' way. Supposed to be a very good car as well.

Suzuki are a strangely ignored breed in the UK, no idea why.

The back end just looks proper disjointed, it's laughable. They've obviously tried to do the retro thing and crow-bar a Whizzkid rear on it...

...which is rather pointless, as 99% of yer motoring public would have no idea what that was.

There is a 4x4 version, which sounds interesting though.

No need to ask Billy, I could trailer it down, but it'd more than double the price tbh.

However, I have a cunning plan, which might bring it down to a bargainous £30 P+P to Chester. I'll keep you posted.

So light?  Goodness, that's almost the weight of an A-series Metro!  I've actually walked past a new Ignis in the street and thought nothing of it.  I might have to look again, especially if it's available as an auto.

Good news!

The battery which was sounding a bit slow to crank the 1.8 MX5 started the 1.3 Ignis like a good-un, even after being left to go flat for three weeks.

Also

Having the battery off the 'Zuki made it forget to put its EML on when it started.

This car wants to live on!

Blimey Eddy, things must be bad if you're considering this!

I've PM'd Billy about cheap delivery to his, to tie in with a trailer collection I'm doing next Sunday... he's offline now, but let's see what he says. If it's a negatory, I'll do some numbers and let you know how cheaply I can wheel it to Barrow.

Cheers!
