Never let it be said I get unpopular cars. Like this millstone, for example.

Anyhow, the V5 has arrived today (takes ages when there's a change of taxation class) so some lucky* person can drive this away. I'll actually consider some sort of (serious) offer, possibly a swap.

Billy, I really don't understand why this hasn't been snapped up.

Idle control valves are a piece of piss to clean out. I did mine on the V70 yesterday.

I'm still having a love affair with my Volvo, otherwise I'd be knocking on your door. What's not to like here?

Have you considered putting this on the blue forum?

It'll find a home at some point. If not there's always the hiab, it's just a lump of metal, you can't make people like or buy things.
It's doing a decent job as GDB at the moment, and to be honest I'll probably just use the money to put towards my next tattoo.

I'll be honest mate, and this is where I got even more (insert own insult)y here, scrap is probably £100-£130 and for less than about £175-£195, I'd sooner weigh it in than sell it someone I don't know who's only concern is getting something dirt cheap 'just because'

TL:DR basically, I wouldn't sell myself a motor.

Scrap is £100-£130 round your way? It's £75 in Poobo.

I suppose there has to be some reason for living in Chester. Apart from liking the band Mansun, of course.

I'm just guessing at the scrap price by the way, the Focus got me £110 or £115.

Even regionally, it varies from yard to yard.
Locally, there's three sites within a 5 mile radius....prices range from £65/ton at a small family run site in the sticks to £105/ton at EMR.

It's applicable to dem modernz too. My mate is trying to sell a '10 plate 1.8 petrol Civic which has a fully stamped service book, 12 month's MOT with an advisory free MOT history going back to when it was three years old and a healthy chunk of paperwork/bills. It's in superb nick apart from some stone chips which are photographed, and it's priced very keenly as he wants to shift it quick.

Not a single peep from anyone except a chancer offering £2k cash 2nite m9.

It does seem to be a particularly dead time to sell cars.

This post doesn't help cavcraft in the slightest, so I'll add that Chester is indeed ace, having spent a week on holiday there literally just after buying Mason.

If anyone can bring Ken's Alfa to here from that London, they can have the Accord for nowt.
