Junkman
yes looks like a Coleman milne zephyr 6 rather than the usual homemade irish hearses. Be fair. Duffy of Dundalk have been purveyors of fine hearse shite for decades. 666jjp and Faker

mercrocker
Forgive me. Zodiac hearse is correct! Zephyr 6, judging by the tail lights and decor strip.... eddyramrod and 666jjp

666jjp
Zephyr 6, judging by the tail lights and decor strip.... that was why I said it. Coleman milne would use a zephyr saloon unlike the estates made by Abbotts who used zodiac saloons.

mercrocker
that was why I said it. Coleman milne would use a zephyr saloon unlike the estates made by Abbotts who used zodiac saloons. Farnham Mk3 Zephyr estates only, as far as I know, used Zodiac rear doors and rear wings. The rear doors were taken from Zodiac, rather than Zephyr saloons because of their squarer profile lending themselves to Estate conversion. The door angle is also different where it meets the rear wing so these had to be used as well.... Otherwise the Zephyr was as delivered by Ford, minus I believe rear window and bootlid. Changing everything else from Zodiac to Zephyr would have been way beyond economic sense for Abbotts - they are actually quite different cars in complicated ways. The Zephyr Farnhams did not have the washboard rear strips but had to use the door cards from the Zodiac. I know everywhere on the internet tells us all Zephyr Farnhams were originally Zodiac but I don't believe it was the case. 666jjp
666jjp
makes sense, i was just going by the rear wings/lights.
