ruffgeezer
Can I interest anyone in my Berlingo Multispace 1.9d? Lots of proper service history with the local citroen specialist including cambelt and water pump around 3 or 4 years back. It has had 2 new tyres on it in the last month, has a towbar and one working remote key ( 2nd is present but the insides have gone awol) She has done 191k but honestly is one of the better 1.9s I have driven. Oiro £700 and is located in Stickford, Lincs but could collect from either Boston or Lincoln station...
KruJoe
Tim, I have a neighbour keen for something like this, but his budget is about £500... Do you have some piccies and a long MOT with which we can tempt him?
ruffgeezer
The mot is until January. Belt and water pump were done around 149k iirc, It has a crack in the screen in the bottom corner but nothing that should trouble an mot tester. 2MB and KruJoe
ruffgeezer
Bugger. New screen now required for next mot. Price negotiable to allow for this.
KruJoe
Thanks Tim. Nice colour. Is it usable until test time with the screen as it is? (Gives matey time to save up for a new one.)I'll try to catch him this evening...
KruJoe
Also, is it a N/A DW8, with a Lucarse pump?
Dave_Q
Also, is it a N/A DW8, with a Lucarse pump?Should be at that age, deffo won't be XUD, probably semi-ECU Lucas.
ruffgeezer
It is an n/a dw8 not sure on the pump but in don't think it'd be veg friendly.
ruffgeezer
Depends how tall he is really. It had been fine up until me putting up this for sale post then the big crack appeared over night. KruJoe
KruJoe
That's a bugger, eh? Anyway, Matey just rang us back, I'm sending him a link now, and he'll run it past his Mrs, I'll talk to him again tomorrow. He also likes the sound of that RAV4, but that won't be hanging around for long.
ruffgeezer
Unfortunately shit happens, I would have replaced the screen before sale if I had windscreen cover on my policy. It's a top motor save for that though.
ruffgeezer
I have had word that I now have first dibs on its replacement. So a Tuesday bump as I cannot afford to tax and insure both!
KruJoe
I'll be talking to my man Mike again later on, hopefully he'll give us some positive news. I've never done the windscreen claim thing on insurance... would it affect his no-claims if he did it that way?
stripped fred
Claiming for a windscreen shouldn't affect your now claims bonus. You just have to pay the excess, usually about £75. KruJoe
ruffgeezer
It didn't make any odds to my no claims when I had normal insurance but most trade policies like the one I have now won't cover windscreens. I think it is £50 excess on Mrs R's full comp policy for screens though.

KruJoe
Sadly Tim, it's a "no" from Mike. He says he doesn't like the colour and can't be arsed with the windscreen carry-on. I say he's daft for turning it down, it'd be ideal for him, especially as his current car is on its very last legs, its clutch has only days of life left in it. Ho hum.I tried mate. ruffgeezer
No worries, thanks. Edit; I do find it amusing though that even in this price bracket,he is prepared to be fussy about the colour!
ruffgeezer
Price drop and a cuppa and a bacon sarnie available for the buyer?
KruJoe
I do find it amusing though that even in this price bracket,he is prepared to be fussy about the colour! I didn't. He made me look like a bit of a dick for trying to help a couple mates out. I nearly told him where to get off yesterday, but I held myself together. Can't win 'em all, can we? ruffgeezer
I appreciated the effort even if he didn't! KruJoe
chodweaver
Sorry if I'm being dense, but is the intention to move it on with the windscreen as is? I've been asked to look out for a car for my eldest's gf and I think this might appeal. I certainly have a soft spot for them. ruffgeezer
Yes, unfortunately I use a motor trade insurance policy which doesn't cover windscreens.

KruJoe
Mike's daft for not wanting that. He says he wants an off-roader now... If it had these nik-naks on its face, I bet he'd reconsider. Does anyone know where to buy those light grille things?
