I’ll start by apologising as I know it is bad form to advertise a car with one’s first post (although I’ve been lurking on here for many years). However, as this car was acquired through these pages from CMS206, I thought it fair to offer on here again before elsewhere.
In summary: 1986 Peugeot 205 GRD in Antelope beige, MOT until 17th August. 193907 miles. I’ve added 1750 miles since December with no hint of a FTP; I’d trust it to get the buyer anywhere they want to go.
The following link is the original thread, including Craig The Princess’s exploits in getting it back from Glasgow to Norfolk behind our LDV!
Most of what was true then is still true now. Loads of history, including records of every penny spent from 1990 – 2012. Cambelt replaced in 2015. Recent alternator. Oil & filter change when I got it in December. The brake pads and discs which came with it have been fitted. Fuel filter bought but not fitted (warning light comes on intermittently).
The wing has been painted and most of the other scabby bits tidied up a bit (not my best effort though). The heater blower was both seized and its switch not working when I acquired the car. I’ve fitted a toggle switch and freed the motor off and whilst it now works it sounds decidedly unhappy (useful if you want to drown out conversations). Heated rear window doesn’t work (connector broken on one side).
A couple of new issues have appeared in my ownership. The main beam switch now fails to permanently engage more often than not, and the offside CV joint is clicking on lock.
Price £250. Location: 5 miles from Wisbech on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border
Reason for sale; these are back on the road
Finally, here are some more pics…..
