Yeah, its not too bad, mostly the kind of options you would find on a highish spec E39, its nice to see that it has sport suspension from factory even though it probably wont make much of a difference after 130k miles, it all will need replacing at this mileage anyway. Xenon is always a plus.

I bloody love that pearl white colour. You sir have some top top machines, very jealous!!

My Dad's mate had a UR quattro when I was about 5. He'd borrowed it one weekend and at the time I had a thing about starting our cars. He'd parked it outside our house (terraced house on a steep hill with cars double parked all the way down), we were getting ready to go somewhere and I was mithering my Dad for me to start the car, so hassled, he gave me the key and off I went. I can still remember opening the door, turning the key, then falling to the floor and watching it lurch forwards into next door's beige Reliant Kitten, pushing it up on to the path and into their garden wall. Unfortunately my Dad had forgotten that the handbrake cable had snapped so it had been parked up in gear, so when I started it, it caught and drove itself forwards, over my foot and planted itself into next door's car. Caused at least £40 of damage to the plastic rat.

That Quattro is a beauty. I once got a ride in a J plate that looked just like that, it's still my benchmark memory for silly traction & speed in the wet.

I took out a loan in my early 20s and bought an A reg if quattro from a collector near Balloch. He picked me up from the station in his RS2 to add to the occasion.

It was an epic car but tricky to drive fast with all the weight out the front and massive turbo lag.

I miss it

Meet "Sixpence".  Forgive the gash wheels and bling, it was on it when i got it.  It belonged to a good freind of mine who died 6 years ago, it then wnet to another of his friends and then I got it 3 years ago.  It still has his own number which I like. We tend to use it more as a day van with kids and dogs , but have trotted about Britain in it on occasion.

scrubs up nae bad for 21 years old. :)

Nice one, every time we go away I'm jonesing over a decent roof bed because I'm up at about 6am no matter what and the mrs is usually fast asleep while 9. If I could bung her up in the roof at least I'd have somewhere to sit!

Is the shower usable? Mine's technically got a shower but it's just not big enough really, you need to use a shower curtain cos the door isn't sealed and you just end up tangled in it.

It's a shame because the water heater is ace and there's more water pressure than at home.

I first bought this back in 2009. I kept it a few years and decided my collectiuon was too big (pre sheds) and sold it..regretted it almost immediately.  Since then cosmetically its been neglected.I got the chance to buy it back and am glad I did.  It needs some paint to tidy it up... for now i shall use as is....

Its a lovely old thing, an lpt with added intercooler.  :)  I have a rear window louvre which when i find i will lob on to it. :)
