Taxi Paul's Peugeot 206 Coupe Convertible: Voiture de crimpeur.

One of my Mum's friends has one of these, it was identical to this one. And yes, he was actually a hairdresser. He left the roof open one evening and somebody slashed the seats and pissed in it and he had had to get it recovered because he didn't want to drive home sitting on piss.

I laughed a lot because he was a bit of a twat.

Did he have it recovered or recovered?

Both, light green.

How much would you like for them?

I ask partly for me, in case I adopt Plan fix up and sell for more, or Plan sell with parts, and partly for anyone who may buy this heap.  I assume that the wings are located in Cannock, which is good and central ish for anyone bagging them.

I'll swop you for a free raffle ticket. They are in Hednesford near Cannock, I could also drop them off at Greasy Lil's for relay if thats more convenient.

V kind, and ticket allocated.  If some other geezer wins, they can have the wings.

Having said that, this car is, as I expected, proving to be about as popular as the annual Third Reich nostalgia singalong and/or a minibreak weekend in Rhyl.

Thus, Plan PX, or Plan fix and sell to eBay twatz may yet occur.

Meanwhile, roffle tix still on for those as wants 'em.

Bumped for the start of the week.

This car really is proving as attractive to buyers as a Gary Glitter's Greatest Hits CD, but, hey.

Buy tix, win, and give to charidee, or give to one of the famous miserablists on here (oops, not me though). Anything that can stop people from buying more Rover 75s surely has to be a good thing. Or, collect the car and find out that you secretly LOVE IT.

As the car is still demonstrating all the magnetic attraction of a hot date with Imelda Marcos, I am pondering parking it up for a while until I CBA to get it MoTed, and then trying to sell it for a bit more cash, but, meanwhile, six quid for a glamorous* French voiture has got to be a really terrible idea megabarg.

Cavcraft has been awarded a free ticket for services to FUNYS ON TEH INTANETZ, and because the car's interior queefs a bit.

He forgot to tick the no publicity box, so he gets named and shamed as the lucky freebie getter/OMGHANDOUTZBRITAN Doley wastrel.

I am baffled by the problems that some of us have in insuring worthless jalopes that do not have Starship engines.   Do you all live in the Bronx in the 70s and have rapsheets as long as yer chappies?  When I swapped the insurance from the two litre NA 206 to the two litre turbo charged Saab, the extra charge was 25 quid, plus an admin fee.  I live in a low crime area (ie: dullsville), and both I and my wife have no recent claims or accidents (more luck than judgment). I have 6 speedy points.  Mrs BV is not a crim at all (Well, apart from all the spliff, obvs.  Me, I don't smoke me.).   The original insurance cost for the Pug was about 230.

We use a bunch called Geoffrey (used to be Chaucer) for non classics.  The classic ones are with Classicline.

I have three cars on proper policies already - a fourth would just be a step too far.  This fabled "mirrored NCB" doesn't actually appear to be a reality, certainly not to the mainstream insurers I've spoken to over the last 24 hours about my next purchase.  They say "yes we'll take that into account" and then quote me £600 on a 15 year old pug with 5,000 miles - despite me having 10 years NCB on Car 1, 7 years on Car 2 and 3 years on Car 3.

I live in salubrious and leafy Cambridgeshire where a 2 up 2 down is £300k, not "The Ghetto".

I don't need all this NCB accumulating - after 9 years it's pointless.

Sorry I can't be your buyer dude.

I love how LBC, having been enticed in here from PH after he rashly gave me a Beemer, and despite being a sensible and well balanced person who drives sensible modern cars, is slowly being sucked into the spiral of chaos and self harm that is Autoshite.  Soon we'll have him rocking out in a Montego or some fucking appalling Citroen.  Autoshite is just like crack, only with worse wheel trims.
