What sort of masochist buys a Smart with a broken autobox?

Nope, not these fuses. All are OK and none of them are the one I was looking for.

 

I found it though, it's on the LH side of the fusebox/SAM assembly which is behind the glovebox. Much trim removal later..

Sadly though it wasn't the problem. I left it all dangling because when I next get some time I need to sanity check the wiring harness because the motors are not getting power. It's a shame I haven't got a wiring diagram, that would save some time but it won't be impossible.

 

I also had the engine running today, the fault is only inhibiting start so jumping the solenoid made it burst into life, and the EPS started working as soon as it started too.

 

It was about then that I realized that the MoT on the fortwo ran out on thursday.

So I've got a couple of brake pipes to do and an exhaust to weld before that can happen, will test in the morning.

Forfour gets to sulk outside for now, will continue sometime this week.
