AS 2017 Calendar

Update 2: "traditional" ordering finished, you can still try your luck with the ALDI software.

_______

Update, check here: http://autoshite.com/topic/26945-as-2017-calendar-ordering/?p=1146540 if you prefer to order your calendar the "traditional" way. Thanks to Eddie for taking care of this.

_______

All images came in or I was able to “push†them with Photoshop to acceptable quality.

This year’s AS calendar printing and delivery is “self-serviceâ€.

To get your 2017 Autoshite calendar just follow the instructions, this will work on PC or Mac only!

  • Download the calendar project file: http://altefranzosen.de/uploads/AS_Calendar_2017_V2.cpr

This is a 39MB File, not what you want to download into your smartphone where it would sit with no use anyway…

  • Go to http://www.aldiphotos.co.uk/
  • Download, install and run the “Free ordering softwareâ€.
  • Select “Open Project†from the main menu and load the calendar project file into the application.
  • Woohoo! The calendar is in your screen!
  • Click the “Order now†button.
  • Do not select “Automatic image optimizationâ€, the images are already optimized.
  • Voucher Code “CALENDAR17†is good for a £3 rebate giving you this quality shite product for as little as £8.58 including shipping.
Continental shiters can load the project file into the local versions of the Aldi software and order from their countries service.

Without sounding like a dick or trying to upset you Peter but is there any other company we can use as i can't get on with this ordering process?

Is it that dreadful  "Insufficient Tagora content" error you get, or does it say "Error loading AS file: posh computer, can't be a shiter" ?

Well, jokes apart, if you could be a bit more specific, i am confident the combined IT knowledge of the shite communitiy will come to your help.

Aldi is the only service i found that has the option to im/export a project.  If there is another service around that has that feature, i will be more than happy to provide a file for that.

Peter

@six-cylinder: I know what you mean, tried the same a dozen times in vain as I´m bloody stupid for all those IT-things.

You need not OPEN this file. Just leave it in your download or on the desktop to copy it in the "open projekt" on the ALDIphoto-Website.

Believe me, it works, and  -by the way- what´s shite, ääh life without any challenge  ?

Made this procedure on Tuesday, just reached a message from Dr. ALDI: "SHITEman delivers tomorrow..."

and upon clicking that button got paypal fired up in the browser, but upon confirming my payment method in the usual paypal way, I get this

So I hit back, and chose Credit Card, where this screen comes up

post-5612-0-76170700-1484825197_thumb.jpg

And that's as far as I;m going now as I have no wherewithall to pay for a calendar, so will log back in on payday and do it.

Hope this helps though

I got the same error with PayPal.

That ALDI software doesn't inspire confidence when inputting card details.

When I ordered mine I had the paypal error but it doesn't charge the paypal account until you finish the order then it goes through. So far they have only charged me the once.

It does seem very long winded, although I can see the reasoning behind it, no one needs to gather orders or buy 60 at once then post them out, I remember Billy grumbling about that a few years ago.

A .cps file is very specialized though, I've tried a fair few bits of software to open it and can find none. Google has not much info on them either

Surely there must be a better way of doing this or no one else is going to bother ordering any?

Tell you all what. How about I take the job on?

Put your name down on an old-fashioned list? I'll go off and work out the price of envelopes and stamps in the meantime.

Get them names down by close of play on the 26th Jan.

I was going to suggest something similar for next year. Loxley Colour in Cumbernauld are a proper print house and you can do stuff using their software (like ALDI but much more better) but I'm sure can also walk in to the showroom with a flash drive for stuff to print. I dare say if we asked them they could take the list of names and deal with the shipping. They also do multiple types of calendars which might appeal to some folk. Here's their price list.
