Junkman
Barrett-Jackson is coming up too. I went through the automobilia listings, apparently written by the same dingaling, as always. I think he uses a dartboard to pick the adjectives.("NOSY" is a new one this year - does it mean NOS-ey, like almost NOS?) No vintage promos this time, unless you count the orange WenMac/AMF '65 Mustang. Worth maybe $150 on a good day - let's see what it does. I notice among the real cars, they're flogging the maybe it was maybe it wasn't JFK's ambulance again, and a customized '56 Chevy, that they say has some kind of tenuous Barris connection, although the H.A.M.B. thread on it doesn't seem to bear that out. Junkman
Errrr....Contrary to some Scottish auction establishment that to my utter disbelief allows the motoring press to kick the living shit out of coveted classicswithout the consent of the owners, at proper classic car auctions it is common practice that all exhibits are pushed onto and off the auction floorby people wearing white cotton gloves. Junkman
Mecum "Road Art" auction live from El Lay: https://www.mecum.com/auctions/los-angeles-2017/live/ Road Art is rubbish collected from the roadside, just that it's taken to an auction house instead of the tip.
