Just about to go to that London to stand in a muddy field with a load of smug middle class twats to have the likes of James Blunt, Shania Twain and fucking Take That assault my ears . The only good bits will be Blondie and Stereophonics .
We're giving some of Mrs N's friends a lift and I'm not allowed to make them take their shoes off on the way back apparently, however muddy they are, so covering the floor with newspaper.
On the plus side, I bumped into Jeremy Vine at one of these Hyde Park things once , hopefully will today and I can chin the fucker - cheering up already.

Update: Arrived and parked 200 yds from Marble Arch just as gates opened. Decision was made to have some lunch " Because no one any good will be on till later, will they?".....
Stereophonics were on first! Probably just about the time I was tucking into my Pork Scratching and Guacamole starter, never mind lunch was great.
Rest of it was as shit as I expected , although Take That do put on a good show, I suppose.
Didn't get to hit any celebrities either.

Just had an assessment about the damage to my villa in Florida. It needs a new roof apart from other things, and my excess is $5380. Fuckity Fuck!!

That's a bit of a bugger, does it actually need a new roof or is that a contractor hoping for a nice earner rather than repair the existing?

That's my estimate looking at pictures that my present guest has sent me. These roofs use bitumen shingles not proper tiles, so it is not as simple as just replacing the broken one. To be honest, with Florida being the Hurricane capital of the world, their choice of roofing materials leaves a lot to be desired. The have just recently discovered proper roofing tiles and combi boilers!

Dodging the sodding awful Stereophonics to watch Take That instead should be in the 'grin' thread.

So your car's tyre blows out at speed, it's buggered anyway. What do you do, block the carriageway or drive it to a safe place when there's one nearby? Seems the former is the option for the chuds on our roads. Nice work Scenic driver

Driving down a dual carriageway in the Volvo last week I heard something that sounded like wind noise when a piece of the car's trim is flapping.  Then there was a loud bang and the smell of burning rubber as the car lurched a bit and it was a flat tyre.

No hard shoulder so I drove about half a mile at 10mph to get to a safe area.  I doubted the tyre could be repaired when I got there but the rim was undamaged.

It is officially I suppose but the weather seems to be shit for the time of year so far.
I was walking the dogs yesterday and walked past a silver birch tree, the leaves had gone yellow and started falling off already. And there's a bush in the garden, it's leaves go red in autumn (usually around October time). It's gone red already and the leaves are coming off.
It seems to have come in early this year to me. I just really hope we have a nice cold winter this year not the shitty mild and wet winter we've had the last few years.

Summer/decent weather has been shite this year. Trying to take a positive from the coming months, I prefer cycling in the dark and the frost, plus I don't have to look at my knobhead neighbour's face in daylight as much.

Same here in the Lakes, its been fucking grim since the end of May, I can't remember 3 consecutive dry twatting days, I lived in Spain for 7 years, been back 8 years now and I fucking hate it, I'm planning on pissing off back over there as soon as I sort some things out, its been 25 degrees or more there for the last 6 months with about 14 days of rain all year, as opposed to the fucking 14 sunny days a year and 351 shit days we get here.

It would honestly not bother me in the slightest if I never ever saw or felt another drop of rain again for the rest of my life! It really does piss me off that much!
Cold I can deal with and if Winter is freezing cold and snowy like it should be then fine (but please fuck off by March latest) though given the choice it'd be low humidity desert style heat for me all day every day.

Dunno what's going on on eBay at the moment but as soon as I bid on something, some knob outbids me right away. I see a nice little project BX14 and think okay, this car made £200 back earlier this year, new owner did nothing, I'll bid that.

Someone has got it up to £343 already. It has a week left to run.

Just let me be high bidder for more than 3 minutes for once!

Buying and driving Euro shit since 2016.
