For the Renault 4 lickers.

Hmmm....good in parts.   Front end has a touch of Juvaquatre (and the Spanish Nacional car) but it goes wrong at the C post.   Also the headlamps and door handles are a poor effort.... Are people really buying these bits now - surely 11000 chocolate coins are better spent putting a Renner 4 into decent original fettle?    Wonder if this is a product of the same company making those sports car bodies that had a thread on here recently?   That bonnet line looks similar....

Those early taillights and the tailgate trim are the only things I'd salvage from this abomination,

which does an impressive job illustrating everything that went wrong since 1986, namely taking

something that works and keep adding useless ugly shit until it bursts, carefully avoiding to

actually improve anything in the process.

If I was to buy an R4 I'd want it to look like a Renault 4. The shallow twats who buy this aren't after a Renault 4 but something else instead, but can only afford a Renault 4 and a body kit that's a pish-poor pastiche of what they actually want. Same as all the MR2 Ferrari replicas.

Tis the way of things in La Republique, God's mother tells me they have been doing it since God was a lad. There was a rounded nose available for the traction but I can't find a picture, I expect Forddeliveryboy will be along shortly with a picture from his files.

I found this piece of wedding cake adornment:

That's a fairly standard production Renner I think.

There was a fairly sizable love in with US automakers before the war in France. Much cribbing from Chrysler, mash ups like Matford,

I imagine Junkman will know more.

There still seems to be a love of American cars and music in France despite their mutual distrust.
