1995 E36 320i Auto

MOT: July 2017

112k miles

Runs and drives very well, autobox has had a fluid change and moves up and down the gears fine

Bodywork is in good condition the arches are in really good condition with no major rust spots. 15" BMW alloys all with good tyres.

Interior is also in good condition, some wear on drivers seat, USB head unit.

There's a decent service history with it, and has obviously been a well cared for E36. I had been using it as my daily but I've now bought a Volvo 850 and the extra space is better suited with 3 kids.

I would like to see £550 ono.

If that was a manual I'd already be on the train down to you.

I really do like the current white E36 I have shared use of. My own one, with a bit more power, would be lovely. I just can't get along with auto boxes though. GLWTS!

My fave E36 was a K reg 320i Auto, not fast but smooth and nice long gearing. It would do 35 mpg on a run.

Unbreakable iron block M50, a car for life really.

It's not amazing in terms of the fuel consumption but by the same token, you've got a durable engine that should be capable of hundreds of thousands of miles. I'd just as soon spend another £5 a week on fuel that be constantly replacing stuff all the time.

Me and a mate of mine bought a 320 auto identical to yours about 7/8 years ago for £50 without an mot and tax which had been abandoned by a friend of a friend and my mate being a diesel fitter took it into work and gave it a service and sorted out the suspension brakes etc for one of those charity runs (home to Rome)

It handled the journey 5 up with luggage with ease and that included going up and down the Alps and he had the car for a couple of years afterwards before selling it on.

It was solely that E36 that got me into BMWs and now I have 3 of them on the drive (if you include a Z3) and at the moment I'm working out how to take the roof off a cabriolet which I bought for my father.post-9282-0-32870300-1483985493_thumb.jpeg

And the flames stayed on the car afterwards...

I think the ideal BMW E36 is a 2 litre six pot auto and think it's the best mix of economy and power with a lovely sound but I'm only a peasant as I only have the 4 pot engines in my cars.
