Now slumped on the train, nobody has sat next to me as I look like a vagrant and have been going around barefoot after wringing out my socks and sticking them on a radiator.

If only they knew I was going to pick up some cherman engineering. I should say 80% cherman engineering, as at least 20% has oxidised, in lots of odd places like half way up a door skin etc.

Something "scene" I reckon.post-17481-0-03825800-1483876036_thumb.jpeg

I don't know whether I'm getting jaded by this car buying malarkey. Spend peanuts and trust someone you've never met before to be honest. Why do we do it to ourselves? I wonder if ive got some sort of compulsive personality disorder if something like that exists. ( ends post to google it)

Crippling self doubt is just part of the mental journey that accompanies any collectioneering. It can come in waves, pulses or spikes at varying times.

It usually precedes jubilation.

Not my words, Lynne, the words of Alan Partridge.

Right got the car, en route back at the mo, drives well, looks like its been dunked in the north sea. Quite spritely for a crappy c180 ( perhaps the weight shedding corrosion is coming into play)

I disgraced a Merc dealers earlier by parking up ( I chose the most prominent place to park in silent protest at their defective corrosion protection treatments) To buy a battery for the needlessly complicated fob.

A rotten tub. And a skip.

Despite everything I quite like it!

Is that not the button that disables the alarm if the car is being lift towed?

I always thought it amuzing that Mercs should fit that button in such a prominent place - e.g. right next to the hazard warning light switch, another oft-used control.
