Zero replies so far FFS.

Like the blue interior.

Had a 1984 528i registered your area A660 ESS, henna red manual but specced with a lsd. Standard spec expensive metric TRX 390s. This was early 90s. Many hi speed tales about that one when travelling daily from Abdn to St Fergus. Yes they could easily sit at a steady 130.
Stored it for a couple of years in the late 90s in a barn, a real barn with straw. Fuckin rats found it and pissed and shit all through it. Room 528. Could never get rid of the stink. Went to the bridge.

I am in Buckinghamshire but I'm also taking the piss.

Have you seen FOAD's post about how a bunch of tosser journalists treated his Samara? If you put two and two together you'll understand my humour.

I bought one just like this - but cleaner - for £40 on Ebay in 2007. Cosmos blue 520i manual, drove it back 50 miles. It had shagged front dampers and needed a mechanical fettle. It was a D plate as well. The battery was wankered too and once it had been fuelled I drove home in one go. Got back, turned it off and the battery still wouldn't live.

I wouldn't have given £1500 for it now mind.

I paid £40 for a 525i manual in 2003, I drove it for a while but it needed too much work for the next MOT.

Very good, I'm not sure what relevance it has to my for sale thread but I never really expected anyone on here to take an interest in it or want to buy it.

It's a lovely motor mate. As reasonably priced as it is, it's probably too salty for us tight bastards. Don't take it personally.

I know, that's why I don't tend to bother trying to sell cars on here especially when I am asking for actual money for them.

Just commenting on how cars that were worthless 10 years ago are now valuable. It happens. I had penniless dreamers on here offering me all kinds of junk in p/x against a very nice E36 Compact before someone real just came and gave me money and took it away. You are not alone I'm afraid.

The idle speed problem is most likely a corroded air bypass slide, part of the idle system. They're a bastard for it - it's water heated and H shaped.
