As Monday's go this certainly wasn't the worst, my beloved Alto blew its head this morning.

So I bought a Volvo 940 for £250

I had set out to find a sub £300 shitter to tide me over until I had enough motivation to fix everything that needs doing but have ended up with a car which I actually like. The Sigma, I bought on Friday, I liked the idea of a big comfy cruiser for long journeys but I think the 940 fits the bill so I want to sell the Sigma to raise some funds for other jobs that need doing.

The car starts, drives and stops reasonably well, It seems quite quick but I've only had a go on a singe track road so couldn't go as fast as I would have liked.

It needs an exhaust silencer, rear wheel bearing and battery before it gets an mot, it may need other work but those are the things that stood out when checking it over on the weekend.

I only want what it owes me. The car is in Cowdenbeath, Scotland. Trailer/transporter is recommended to take it away.

I took one of these in as a part-ex once a few years ago, it was far from the kind of tackle the (Merc) dealer usually handled, and I moved it on almost immediately to a trader who couldn't get enough of the things. No idea what he did with it.

One of the best sounding estates I ever met.

Here's a selection of photos taken today, the underside of the car is quite dirty but there is a bit of rust at the end of the sills and some blisters on the wheel arches.

Always liked these til I hired a 2.6 version of this in Australia. It was a low spec thing with manual windows and crap air con.  I was amazed how little power the 2.6 gave. Hated it. It was dreadful on fuel too

Yours has a much nicer interior and hopefully the V6 is pokier than `mine` was! Good looking cars though
