Do you get to see cars from your work place window?

If so please post a picture of what you see, moderns and all.

How often does the view change?

How many cars can you see?

Age range of cars in view?

I will start it off, I can see 6 cars from where I sit, all but one of them are mine, the other a visiting friend. They range from 1970 to 2001. They do change but not that often because the current daily drivers are out of view.

I have just thought of something, it has got dark while I thought this up so maybe tomorrow for the pictures!

All I can see from my window is cows. And occasionally a Toyota pickup truck or a milk lorry. Or sometimes the abbatoir van.

Mostly mclarens. But that Ferrari 330 earlier in the week plus a very loud f40 and Maserati - not sure which one, but it's based on the laferrari and it's enormous.

I love these photos of buses by your desk, going back 20+ years I sold cars from a showroom and had my desk amongst brand new cars and regret not photographing the set up.

There was a nice collection of 911s the other week too - from a brief glance it seemed to comprise the 911 air cooled models. About 12 of them outside when I arrived but whisked off into a very large transporter before I could get the camera out.

When I put this Thread up I guessed from what you have posted before you would come up with some good ones!

Surely there should be made to get your written permission before they move cars like that out of your sight!

A few of the big London dealers seem to use th shipping company. Sometimes it's quite distracting! This afternoon there was a primrose yellow e type jag and a Ferrari Dino. The other day when the mclaren f1 was directly outside my front door with the engine running and door open I was tempted to jump in! They're good neighbours to have as it brightens up the yard no end.

I don't even have the rarest car in the car park ( the shipping co. Boss has an 260E w124), so my colleague in his new focus wins- go figure!

I don't see any cars from my office window, just the maintenance department's vans - the usual stuff, Transits, Renault Trafics, Combos etc. The only car I've seen there was a Laguna, probably because it was broken.

My home office is on the front corner of my gaff

Bloke across the road has a silver Golf Plus - had it for years - so nothing exciting to report there.

Next door to them are a bit more interesting, they have an MX5, Volvo C30, K12 Micra, brand new Aygo and number of tasty-looking bikes (pushbikes) between 'em.  Someone who visits them quite often drives a Tesla.

I can't see this stuff - but next door has a Moggy minor as well as their 2 dailies, a bloke down the road has 2 P4 Rovers, there's a dubber further up with a modded 50's Beetle, a T5 and and very nice modded Type 3, then further still is a bloke with a 928s, boatail Alfa spyder and various bits of rotting chod around.

Oh, and someone comes to see someone further up driving a Jaaag XK150 FHC fairly often - that sounds very fruity as it passes.

Years ago I used to rent a unit in the same yard as Storacar, who were one of the first specialist car storage people. Anyway, they often used to move stuff around and leave it in the yard running......
Two Scrotes, who must have been watching, because it's on a farm in the middle of nowhere, jumped in a Countach and dissapeared , the guy who ran the company gave chase in his Cossie, he reckoned he could hear it all the way to Bedford, where it was dumped but never managed to get it in sight even at 150.
He ended up paying for a clutch ,brakes, tyres and an engine strip down and check rather than claim on his insurance.

This is the Farmer's Toyota HiLux which Slartibartfast alluded to. I have much desire for this vehicle which is run on red diesel, is mostly made of rust and mud and often ferries the farmer and his dog around the farm at high speed. It has serious reluctance to start at this time of year but soldiers on regardless.

IMG_20161209_123228993.jpg

The numberplate has fallen off in the last week or so, which only adds to the appeal for me.

We also see lots of posh tractors coming past, the telehandler they use for various things including lifting up cows which have fallen over or are just reluctant to stand up, the scaffolding company trucks and the milk lorry but none of these are particularly noteworthy. I shall try and get a picture of the telehandler lifting up a cow next time they do it.

My office is on the Norwich ring road so I see many thousands of cars every day - rarely anything interesting, although there is a traction engine which trundles past every year at steam fair time.
